Nice to see the priorities straight in the CA legislature. Outlawing plastic bags is more important than dealing with a full-blown illegal invasion.

Washington, DC recently instituted a 5 cent charge for any plastic bag provided at a store that sells any food, even small amounts. That fee goes to a dedicated fund for river clean up I think.

I use the bags for trashbags or luggage. I’m not kidding. What is wrong with libs that they must control everything?

Answer: No.
Those sick animals are so greedy for money and power that it wouldn't surprise me to see them even try to regulate salt.

Oh...

Yes. Illegals, deviant sexual behavior, drugs and crime. Everything else is fair game.

AB 1998 was approved by the Assembly this month on a party-line vote, 42-27, with Republicans opposed; it is pending in the Senate. Schwarzenegger praised the bill when it cleared the lower house, calling it "a great victory for our environment."

Reusable fabric bags are hardly a sufficient improvement. Shoppers should be provided with piles of straw and expected to weave their own baskets.

Yes. Teaching sex to grade schoolers.

That may not be entirely correct. I think I read that the Democrats in Massachusetts frown on teaching "fisting" to kids below fifth grade. Maybe it was third grade...

How about a law that you can only buy what you can carry home with two arms.

Don’t worry, they are about to tax or regulate most of their tax-payers out of California... Guess they will be wondering why they have to keep raising taxes just to break even...

Just hope that the Feds stay out of the economical disaster that is heading their way.

To a liberal, if you pay for a plastic bag and it ends up in the landfill, it is not litter.

What a racket. Call it a pollutant and tax the hell out of the users and manufacturers. Pretty much anything that is in common use by the masses could fall under this category.

If it passes it will be easy to fight if you can get a number of people to help. Go to the store and check out with a cart full of groceries. Refuse to provide a bag. Ask for help carrying out your groceries. When they say they can’t carry your items out one at a time and refuse to provide a container tell them to cancel the order and give you your money back.
