You can put in just about any "how much" question and get an answer!

Just for fun (or nausea) I typed in:

U.S. Budget Deficit 2/1/07

(when the libs took over the purse strings)

Here's what I got:

http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=U.S.+Budget+Deficit+2%2F1%2F07

*Hint: 160.7 Billion*

You knew about that website????

It was a hot topic earlier this year or late last. Everyone wondered if it was a 'google killer'. It isn't, of course.

WolframAlpha still has some learning to do. I ask where 0bama was born and it said “Hawaii”.

I asked it "what hospital was Barack Obama born in?" and it can't answer! Amazing legacy for the 'most transparent' one.

OK, so I asked it the obvious "how much" question and it provided the following answer....

A woodchuck would chuck all the wood he could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood. (According to the tongue twister, although the paper "The Ability of Woodchucks to Chuck Cellulose Fibers" by P.A. Paskevich and T.B. Shea in Annals of Improbable Research vol. 1, no. 4, pp. 4-9, July/August 1995, concluded that a woodchuck can chuck 361.9237001 cubic centimeters of wood per day.)

I asked how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Pop.

It was stumped.

However, WikiAnswers says it came up with an answer of sorts.

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Pop?

I asked about the profit on a barrel of oil. It assumed profit referred to a movie and did not understand a barrel of oil. Worthless.
