Both sides want Obama, during Racine visit, to explain Chrysler moving jobs from Kenosha to Mexico

Both sides want Obama, during Racine visit, to explain Chrysler moving jobs from Kenosha to Mexico President Barack Obama will be greeted in Racine Wednesday by some tough questions over his administration's decision to ax jobs in Kenosha.

The president-backed bailout of Chrysler last year allowed the car manufacturer to shutter its Kenosha plant and move the jobs to Mexico. That has liberals and conservatives asking questions about Obama's commitment to jobs in southeastern Wisconsin.

The liberal Capitol Times in Madison said Obama should address the Chrysler decision during his visit to Racine. They write:

We do wish he would explain to the people of southeast Wisconsin why his auto industry bailout plan - which he and so many Wall Street players hail as a success - helped pay for Chrysler's plan to shutter factories in U.S. communities and relocate work to foreign countries.

That's what happened to Kenosha, Racine's neighbor city, which was not "rescued" by the bailout but instead was devastated when Chrysler announced it would stop production in the city. The plant, with roots in Kenosha that go back more than a century, has been fully modernized and is ready to produce state-of-the-art engines.

According to Biden, those jobs (along with 8 million others) are gone forever, but we are on the upswing of a recovery.

Mexico is in North America.

Isn’t that close enough?

“Lower our taxes and we’ll call it even...” No, wait, that was the Kopp’s burger guy and he still has a job.

Alright, if a Mexican citizen is on a plane that has been hijacked, and the hijacker ask them if they are American, will they answer "Si" or "No"?

That is the answer to if they are Americans...

There is an alternative solution being worked out. Chrysler needs lower labor costs and the way to achieve that goal is to have a ready supply of Amnesty Granted Mexicans. When the horde invades Kenosha, the median unit auto labor cost will decline

Bribes.... union costs... It’s more important for the moment for Chrysler to stay alive. Obama’s union friends can suck the remaining life out of it in a few years.

What part of "redistribute the wealth" do the editors of the Cap Times not understand?

Wait a minute - aren’t taxpayers part owners in Chrysler?

And what are your feelings about that, Obama-supporting union thugs?

They must have missed his Marxist missives, so often shared; albeit 'cloaked' in slightly different language.

Obama has explained his MO many times. It is time for 'other' countries to grow and have their share of our wealth. (Mexico gets aid; and we have 'no' money for border patrol. . .we can 'dis-employ' - and so destroy our entire Gulf area populations - while taxpayers pay for the millions sent to Petrobas Oil for development (deep water, yet - and Soros) in Brazil.

Meantime. . .what better way to to 'share' additionaly with Mexico the benefits of our investment than to send Chrysler to Mexico? As for Labor. . .maybe if they learned spanish; they can go to. Buena Suerte!

It is a win/win for Obama; he has had it in for Chrysler, in particular - and corporate Amrica et al, of coure - since he took his oath to protect and serve America.

Many of us knew that was a crock. Many, many more are learning it.

I think you mean, “crony socialism.”

Two sides of the same coin, and both are evil, no matter who is in charge.

I really hate that term, ‘crony capitalism’. This has nothing to do with capitalism, and it tars this noble concept. We need to come up with a new name for big business and government collusion. The government-favored big business/campaign donors.

FWIW, I have no problem with the term, just the practice :)

it’s the unions that have driven production overseas.

OxyMoronic use of taxpayer, by definition taxpayers are not owners but payers. Any profit derived will be consumed by administrative cost and left overs will be distributed to the needy, also known as non taxpayers.

Corruption is an old name but it fits very well.

Fascism (especially the Mussolini-style Facism) would be a good term, but unfortunately, its meaning is flexible and has been distorted through the last 70 years.
