Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan has written the leaders of more than a dozen major U.S. Jewish groups and denominations seeking "repair of my people from the damage" he claims Jews have caused blacks for centuries.
Farrakhan sent the letter along with two books from the Nation of Islam Historical Research Team that the 77-year-old minister said prove "an undeniable record of Jewish Anti-Black behavior," starting with the slave trade and Jim Crow laws.
"We could charge you with being the most deceitful so-called friend, while your history with us shows you have been our worst enemy," he wrote.

In the letter, dated last Thursday, the Chicago-based Nation of Islam leader said he sought a dialogue with Jews. He sent the letter to groups including the Orthodox and Reform movements, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, and the American Jewish Committee, a New York-based advocacy and humanitarian nonprofit that spearheads inter-religious dialogue.
"This is an offer asking you and the gentiles whom you influence to help me in the repair of my people from the damage that has been done by your ancestors to mine," he writes. "Your present reality is sitting on top of the world in power, with riches and influences, while the masses of my people ... are in the worst condition of any member of the human family."

That’s not a fair comparison. Muslims see Jesus as a Prophet so they wouldn’t have problems with a Nativity scene. Buddhists and Hindus don’t care about ‘other Gods’.
Not observant or orthodox Jews, these are secular Jews whose religion is the radical.

I remember so vividly when Bill O'Reilly was interviewing a couple young black women who couldn't understand what all the 'fuss' about Reverand Wright was, because in their own personal experience of the black church in America, Reverand Wright was low key & mellow.
They were very serious, they were NOT making a joke.

I think it was much worse in the early 1990s when all sorts of neonazi aryan white supremicists were ranting & raving night after night on shortwave radio, it was Father Coughlin all over again, it was just eerie.

I've heard a Jew stole the plans for the spaceship Louie and Mohammed went up to, and that's how Israel invented UAVs. No wonder Louie is upset, he's never done anything productive. Closer to home, their attempts at farming in the southeast haven't been, well, not successful enough to secede and form a black state in part of Georgia. Should have asked the Israeli's about advice about farming.

I think you are making a legitimate point. Jewish people tend to be very liberal as a group and they certainly have supported all kinds of civil rights causes in the past. THe problem is they also support some very radical groups. Does anyone here remember the Tom Wolfe book, “Radical Chic and Mau Mauing the Flak Catchers”. Wolfe writes about the kind of urbane Jewish liberal like composer Leonard Bernstein who wined and dined Black panthers like Bobby Seale in their pent house pads. I am not sure what drives them to these lengths but guilt , real or imagined, for something must be considered a possibility.
