“The motivation for allowing the well to blow and prolonging the crisis isn’t merely financial, it’s political too,” writes Prison Planet.

The idea that this was intentional is as crazy and evidence free as the notion that the government was behind 9/11.

Not that this will stop the nuts from opining.

Gotta agree that BP has set new records for making bad PR moves.

Maybe he did not schedule the blowout but 70 days to get the foreign skimmer down there? I think he enjoyed destroying the gulf coast.

The explosion was an accident. The subsequent delays and political posturing and refusals of effective procedures have converted a major accident into a regional catastrophe for political benefits to the Kenyan and his anti American program. They are surely far more than typical bureaucratic niggling and inertia.

The 'accident' wasn't intentional.

The MMS allowing 'waivers' of necessary steps in the completion of the drilling of the DH well was intentional.

The Obama administration, the MMS, and BP took unnecessary risks by skimping on the cement job and replacing the mud with sea water too soon. Lives were lost because of it.

They might as well have sent the 11 workers up in an airplane without checking to see if the tanks had any fuel in them.

If you want to see how 'ridiculous' the government can be with enforcing or not enforcing 'safety' rules, remember that the BP workers on the rig were not allowed to have knives to cut themselves free from ropes as the rig sank.
