Jill Stanek: Exposed! Kagan's partial-birth abortion scheme
WorldNetDaily ^ | 6/30/10 | Jill Stanek

The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology is well-known in pro-life circles to be radically pro-abortion.

For instance, ACOG supports the most heinous of all abortion practices, partial-birth abortion. When in 2007 the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the partial-birth abortion ban of 2003, ACOG released an indignant statement, which read, in part:

"Today's decision … is shameful and incomprehensible to those of us who have dedicated our lives to caring for women," said Douglas W. Laube, MD, MEd, ACOG president. "It leaves no doubt that women's health in America is perceived as being of little consequence.

"... The Supreme Court's action today, though stunning, in many ways isn't surprising given the current culture in which scientific knowledge frequently takes a back seat to subjective opinion," he added.

How admirable of ACOG to stand on the principle of "scientific knowledge" in the face of "subjective opinion," which overwhelmingly thought sucking out the brains and collapsing the skulls of almost-delivered late-term babies was gross.

But as it turns out, ACOG is the grandest of frauds.

It has just come to light through the process of U.S. Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan's confirmation hearing that in 1996 ACOG let the Clinton White House, via then-associate counsel Elena Kagan, write its medical opinion of the partial-birth abortion procedure.

Unfortunately, the Republicans in the Senate won't even ask her about this.

Total crock.

Every time some leftist doesn't like what happens, they cite *science* to back themselves up and pass it off as *objective* and *rational* and therefore superior in its conclusions for that reason.

But for those who wish to be *scientific* about it, science has definite criteria for life, that the fetus meets, and can be proved to be human genetically hence, abortion is the killing of a living human being, aka murder.

It is my understanding that Dr Coburn asked about this.

At “partial birth abortion” this is flat out infanticide. There is no moral debate here. If they disemboweled a screaming infant while she was lying her crib, they would be sent to jail to rot. Instead they get into the highest offices in the nation.

Dead on.

In other words, ACOG found no exceptional reason for the existence of partial-birth abortion. Legalized abortion could get along just fine without it. Nevertheless, in ACOG's curious opinion, it should remain legal.

But when Kagan got wind of ACOG's draft, she wrote in a White House memo it "would be disaster – not the less so (in fact, the more so) because ACOG continues to oppose the legislation."

ACOG comes out with an opinion that PBA is entirely unnecessary to protect the health and life of the mother and Kagan calls it a "disaster." What could the "disaster" possibly be other than being an obstruction to killing babies? She is one extremely sick person.

Kagan altered the ACOG report before it was filed with the Federal Court—a clear ethics violation.

Rather than an appointment to the U.S. Supreme Court, she should be disbarred.

What a stunning expose of Kagan’s dark thought process ... it’s what we suspected/expected, brought into sharp incontrovertible focus.

As Tiger’s Eye says, it’s SICK and sickening. I pray that this revolting revelation will bring about her downfall... oh, God, please may there be justice for these littlest ones!

Thanks for the post and the ping.

Unbelievable. That is SOOOOO sick! She is so glibly quick and eager to destroy an innocent life, rather than make the simplest efforts to save it! She can’t even pretend to be neutral on this!

I thank God that this has come to light, and pray that His light may shine in the darkest recesses to turn this evil around.
