Funny how a democrat who was the only member of the senate to have been a KKK member in good standing, is foundly remembered...yet Strom Thurmond was called a racists-too-old-SOB because he once opposed some civil rights laws.
While Al Gore SR voted AGAINST the Civil Rights Act of 1965, as did a MAJORITY of democrats...while Joe Kennedy Sr was a vocal supporter of Hitler...but they and their children are idolized.
