I wouldn't worry - it is just political posturing for the 2010 elections. He'll promise an amnesty law [which will never get passed] in order to get Latinos to vote straight democratic in the fall.
Then, in 2011-2012, no bill will be passed. The GOP will have gained enough seats in 2010 to block - and [of course] Obama has to gear up for re-election.
What the Latinos don't realize is that they are just a pimple on the ass of a flea. That is, they are concentrated in just a few places - but are not wide-spread enough to make a difference nationally.
They can make a difference election-wise in a few states, but those states are heavily DEM anyway. So, they really don't matter.
DEM Representatives and Senators in most states don't care about them - it is the Independents that make the difference in their states [and they DO NOT want amnesty]. Thus, no new immigration law ...
The list looks good enough for assorted victims of the illegal invasion to file a class action suit against the executive branch.
I was thinking seriously that for the government not to protect the citizens is the most fundamental issue we can face.
