HARARE, Zimbabwe (AP) -- Germany's government said Friday it will cut off aid to Zimbabwe unless illegal and violent occupiers are removed from a farm owned by a German national.
In a Friday protest note to the Zimbabwe foreign ministry, Germany noted the occupation of the eastern Zimbabwe property owned by German investor Heinrich von Pezold violates a decade-old investment agreement between the two countries.

Come on. It’s obvious that his farm is just “too big to fail”, and Mugabe’s thugs are merely looking out for the interests of all Zimbabweans. I thought the magic teleprompter had educated everyone on this principle by now. Guess not.

Colonial farmers transformed much of Africa into superb farms, capable of sustaining large populations.
On their own, post-colonial leaders have taken these lush countries back into tribalism, with all the misery that is embodied in it.
Unable to feed themselves, burdened with corruption and crime, no prospects of anything better, yet willing to slide even further into the ooze in the name of 'self determination'.
