Pelosi Statement on June Jobs Report

Press Releases Contact: Brendan Daly/Nadeam Elshami 202-226-7616 For Immediate Release 07/02/2010 Pelosi Statement on June Jobs Report

Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today on the report that the unemployment rate fell to its lowest level in a year and the private sector added 83,000 jobs in June, while the economy lost 125,000 jobs overall:

“Today’s jobs report sends a signal that our economy continues moving forward on the road to recovery, but we still have more work to do. The unemployment rate dropped. The private sector added jobs for the sixth straight month, and private employers have added nearly 600,000 jobs this year. This comes after nearly a decade of failed Republicans policies cost us more than 700,000 jobs per month when President Bush left office.

“These numbers show our country moving in the right direction, and remind us that we must keep working to create jobs in the private sector, save the jobs of policemen, firemen, teachers and nurses, and strengthen our middle class.

“Yet – at every turn – Congressional Republicans stand in the way, voting against assistance for those hardest hit by the downturn; opposing lending and tax incentives for small businesses; and delaying bills to put Americans back to work paid for by closing tax loopholes that encourage corporations to ship jobs overseas. And just last night, the House voted to save jobs for teachers and invest in youth jobs – but Congressional Republicans said no.

“With so many families struggling to get by, it’s time for Congressional Republicans to set aside political posturing, stop standing up for Wall Street and special interests, and join Democrats to fight for Main Street and the Middle Class.”

Screw Pelosi and the broom she flew in on! That goes for her staffers too. Three of them were extremely rude to me this morning.

Looks like she’s on her way out. You don’t have to be in California to help.

Pelosi said: “Barack, Harry and I have not yet succeeded in driving America into the ditch. We have more work to do and, rest assured, we will continue to do everything in our power to totally screw America and the American people. Socialism or Death.”

I'd like to see that 125,000 newly unemployed show up (with ropes) to debate that with her.

Pelosi is so ridiculously ignorant that it is just a waste of time to even try to respond to her inane babbling. The woman needs help. Anyone with half a brain can see through her comments. Democrats have to be embarrassed by her.

Funny how this woman’s tone changes when a socialist is in the white house.....

Remember YOUR OWN WORDS MS PELOSI

Pelosi: Where Are the Jobs, Mr. President?

August 1, 2003

Washington, D.C. — House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today on the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ announcement that 470,000 people abandoned their job searches in July and that 3.2 million private sector jobs have been lost since President Bush took office:

“The fact is that President Bush’s misguided economic policies have failed to create jobs. Since President Bush took office, the country has lost 3.2 million jobs, the worst record since President Hoover. And today we learned that in July nearly half a million people gave up looking for a job.

“Job losses are taking a real toll on the financial security of American families. While Democrats are fighting for opportunity, jobs, and economic security for working families, Republicans continue to focus on helping those who need help the least.

“According to today’s survey, while the national unemployment rate dropped slightly, it still stands at a near record high. In addition, the unemployment rate for African Americans was still over 11 percent in July, and the unemployment rate for Hispanics was 8.2 percent in July.

“It is time for President Bush and the Republicans to get to work for all Americans, not just the elite few.”

You bioched about an economy that was better and an unemployment rate that was lower, and now all you can bring yourself to do is kiss your messiah’s butt. Obama would kill for a jobs report like Bush had. You two faced wench!

The only way the unemployment rate dropped is due to the millions that fell off of the roles receiving unemployment due to the inaction and the usual playing politics of Congress. There are more unemployed now than since WWII and that’s a reality that Obama will have to live with. Unless, of course, his commie cabal does manage to take complete control and wipe the history books clean of any negative facts.
