Blame game could 'boomerang' on Obama, strategist says

When signs of a severe economic downfall emerged more than two years ago, then-candidate Barack Obama was quick to point a finger at the man he hoped to replace.

Seventeen months into his administration, the message is often the same, and Republicans say it's time for him to drop the Bush bashing and take ownership of the problem.

"Nothing makes a president look weaker than pointing the finger at past administrations," said Republican strategist Ron Bonjean. "By blaming somebody, it looks like you are playing politics and people just want jobs. They don't care about whose fault it is. Playing the blame game only boomerangs on yourself."

Democrats controlled Congress in the last two years of the Bush administration and have controlled both the White House and Congress for a year and a half ...

Democratic strategist Julian Epstein said Obama needs to make the argument that the economy is on the climb and the stimulus has worked.

"The message has got to be optimistic and positive...

The White House needs to go on a confidence campaign and perhaps take a page from President Reagan's playbook, Epstein said.

"He really needs to spell out how we are coming back and it's morning in America again," he said.

That’s going to be some trick. Sort of like the Captain of the Titanic trying to calm passengers by saying there are no icebergs in these waters, just as the ship begins to tip up to go down.

“He really needs to spell out how we are coming back and it’s morning in America again,” he said.

Except it is not.

Yes, he promised to bring back the economy. What he didn’t say is that he planned to bring it back to 1866 levels. He’s a Kenyan born carpetbagger.

If Obama were to be reelected he would be blaming Bush the last day of his eighth year and if we let another rat follow him in office he would start blaming Bush on day one and spend his whole term telling us how great Lord Obamanation was. Nothing flowing from the mouth of a Democrat has had any connection to reality at any time in the last thirty five years at least.

I would be in one hundred percent agreement if you had just changed the if to when and changed think to know.

Judging from the installation of the clown in diapers to the Senate I am afraid it has already happened. Minnesota has a Senator who is not qualified to sit on a town council for a city of two hundred people. Having him represent my state would be enough to force me to move to another. Franken is a disgrace to the entire nation.

"He really needs to spell out how we are coming back and it's morning in America again,"
Or he could borrow a page from the playbook of New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin: "It's morning again in America and it's still chocolate in New Orleans".

Funny how he wanted the job so much...

And, there you have the crux of Obama's problem.

You see, with someone with his low self-esteem/narcissistic emotional status, it does not matter WHAT job brings him adoration, fame, accolades, etc. Obama could have been recognized for anything where he got the attention he craved (that he did not get as a child, hence his emotional dysfunction). If he had been recognized for greatness at anything else, that would have satisfied him. He had/HAS no love for his country, no desire to help people (no matter what party they are or how they can help or adore him), and no skill at being a leader. He just wants his "fix" of attention and he could have been selected as the #1 clown in a circus (come to think of it, he is our #1 clown, but I digress).

Anyway, it was not the Presidency that he had to have, per se. If his close supporters had pushed for him to be known as the best brick layer in the country, that would have sufficed...even if he never laid a brick at all. The experience and skill needed to become the top at something were lost on Obama. He just wanted the short cut of being recognized without the hard work. For Obama it is all about recognition for anything, that is all that counts to a person with such emotional neediness. Who else, at under 45 years of age, but a person needing to be recognized, writes two books about himself? Name one other who has done that. The man has a hopeless case of "need to be known, need to be noticed," obviously because his Mommy and Daddy did not provide attention and security...and Gramps and Grandma did not want to recognize that their daughter delivered a bi-racial child into the family.

That is why the record of his birth is such a secret, most likely. That is why there is no record of Obama's mother being pregnant, (like no pictures,) no one who remembers her pregnant (like a friend) no record of her being admitted to a hospital in Hawaii for delivery or a hospital stay, or anything except an after-the-fact of his birth...some notice in the Hawaiian newspaper. And that announcement could have been placed by family, after Obama's mom came back from wherever she was when she delivered him. It was not any "official" announcement. Anyone could have had that published, and most likely the Grandparents felt something had to be, since daughter dearest came home with babe in arms.

Maybe Obama didn't even know the truth until Granny was near death. Maybe the family kept the secret and that could also be why Obama has such a mistrust and dislike for white people.

With all the secrets about where he was born, who was "Daddy," and was Mommy even married to him when she got pregnant, etc. you can see how Obama was really challenged in this dysfunctional family situation. Then, to grow up a bi-racial child in Hawaii, who, obviously, felt uncomfortable with that, those conditions had to make him yearn for attention and want to feel he fit in somewhere.

Naturally, he clung to anyone, especially male figures, who gave him attention as a child, and whoever took the place of a Dad. And then later in life anyone who fed his need became so very important to him and he would do whatever they suggested. This made him very vulnerable for those who had anti-American objectives, and they influenced him strongly. And, because Grandma obviously had difficulty with his mixed heritage, and his white Mama abandoned him, his distaste for whites and women grew.

For Obama, only one thing became his focus...that was and still is...being able to look in the mirror and tell himself that he is important and that people think he is something great. It is sad, really, his life was not a good one, and I doubt he was a happy child with happy memories of a loving family who were proud of him and who gave him what children need. He learned to be "charming," to get good grades in school, to be clever and make jokes...the things that brought him attention. But he did not learn loyalty, perseverance for learning a skill and developing it or working hard and long, empathy and appreciation for others, or to love himself. He became arrogant as a protection for his feeble self image. And he became what those around him who gave him his "fix" wanted him to be, not what he was good at being.

So poor Obama, the man in the WH is really a lonely, unfulfilled person deep down inside and is on his continual search for identity, for fulfillment, for praise. As long as he is adored, he can function. When criticism comes, or his popularity fades, he either reacts angrily or hides. He cannot deal with anything that upsets the delicate ego of his.

Contentment will always escape him. If he was not our president, and was not harming our country, he would be a man to be pitied.

If you take a new job and there’s a bag of $#!^ on the office desk when you get there, you can blame it on the previous occupant.
If it’s still sitting there a year and a half later, you can’t.
