America currently stands in a very dangerous position, said renowned pastor and author Dr. Charles Stanley. Today more than ever, the country is turning away from God and moving closer toward socialism, he warned. And the consequences will be grave.
"We know the truth, we know the principles of God. In spite of all that, we find ourselves as a nation violating the laws of God, heading in a direction that is going to be disastrous for us, for our children and the generations that are to come unless there is a change," he said.
Speaking to thousands at First Baptist Church of Atlanta and to a live Web audience on Friday, Stanley delivered a sobering 4th of July message about a dangerous spiritual tide that is engulfing the country and the crucial need for prayer.
"There is a tide that has touched the shores of our land and reached the heart of our nation," he said against the backdrop of the U.S. flag. "It is a tide that is bringing with it ideas and philosophies, actions and attitudes that will ultimately destroy the way of life that you and I have."

God has called us to take a stand and appeal to Him on behalf of our country. Interesting observation by the pastor. I read recently that Pope Pius XI, back 80 years ago in 1931, said “no one can be at the same time a sincere Christian and a true Socialist” while he was observing the rise of Communism and Nazism in Europe. The truth shall set you free....
Pastor Stanley is right on about this..

This aired on his radio program as well. Just the facts. It is a fact that we are a train, headed for a brick wall. The Bible is full of specifics regarding open rebellion and the result of that rebellion on a society.
The hostility toward Him is astounding and it’s encouraging and emboldening the maggots in our society to become more depraved, more perverted.
The only pleasure I would personally have is to see a real life version of ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ when all the Nazis were vaporized after the Ark was opened.
The only way to get rid of evil of this magnitude is to eradicate it completely. OK so I’m not a compassionate conservative or Baptist. Just shoot me now.
