A former Justice official who claims the administration backed off a voter intimidation case against the New Black Panther Party for racial reasons is set to testify Tuesday before the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights.

The testimony from J. Christian Adams, who resigned from the Justice Department last month in protest of the administration's handling of the case, comes after he made a series of explosive allegations during an interview with Fox News last week. He said the administration abandoned an open-and-shut case of voter intimidation and that Assistant Attorney General Thomas Perez gave false testimony before the commission in May.

“Wanna bet nothing happens to Holder or his Black Panther buddies?”

Nope, nor do I want to provide personnel safety insurance to J Christian Adams!

The face remains that we must stand up for Justice, particularly in this case, since this man has put his future and life on the line for our future rights and Justice! IMHO

But Adams, the former administration lawyer, accused the Justice Department of not continuing the case for political and racial reasons.

I just love it when people show true courage on behalf of what's right.

This should have been a huge deal.

The last evidence of poll intimidation in the 60’s in the south brought the full weight of the feds down.

I don’t believe in 2 wrongs making a right.

Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord, I will repay.

Gerald Walpin (fired inspector general - hope I got his name right) should have been a big deal as well. That reeked of corruption and the white house was directly involved in his removal from office for a finding against a FOB (friend of Barry).

What ever happened to that story? The MSM does not cover this stuff and it usually fizzles out but some of these things will stick, especially if we take back part of congress.

The decision to drop this case was outrageous and one questions how any future prosecution could occur. It was blatant and fit every element of the law.

*************

I will not take your bet, sir. The purpose of this inquiry will be to neutralize, humilate and make an example of Adams, is my guess.

But then the administration moved to dismiss the charges the following month after getting one of the New Black Panther members to agree to not carry a "deadly weapon" near a polling place until 2012. The department boasted that justice had been served.

WTF?

Why, if they catch them doing that again, they’ll go on double secret probation! The Panthers must be quaking in their Nikes. What a wimpy response.

So they’re allowed to carry deadly weapons near polling stations in 2012? Oh..wait...now it makes sense.

Your guess is, and will be, wrong.

The U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, currently run by a majority of Bush era appointees, has conducted this investigation very thoroughly and seriously. This even though Obummer and Holder's Justice Department has illegally obstructed the investigation, and illegally refused to comply with disclosure requirements and subpoenas.

The Commission will doubtless continue to press this investigation. But that will all change this coming December, when Obummer and the lame duck Congress will be able to take over the Commission with their appointments. Before then you might want to download the case documents and transcripts, which will surely be shoved down the memory hole by next year.

I will be happy to be wrong on this one.

Setting the paper trail is vital, even if nothing comes of it immediately.
