I think Alsmorelda is a better driver at this time. Thanks to your tale I had to have EMTs standing by while I climbed a ladder to get some 1X12s out of the rafters in one of my many sheds so I could do a garden project in another shed. You know a man is ready to face his maker when he uses some of the Ancient Vertical Grain All Clear Redwood he has been hoarding since the 60s. I would burn it then let a “friend” tell my widow that he’ll give her 10 bucks for it and take it off her hands...
I think the height-fright matter finally peaked when my (Bandon) pastor assured me that tying two straight ladders together was perfectly safe and talked me into climbing them to change a security light blub. When I was at the top he preceeded to shake the be-jesus outa them; if I hadn’t already accepted Christ as my savior I would have done so then.
Bend is in that window of summer where the highs are in the upper 80’s w/22% humidity and the lows at 38-40. Wish you were here.
Asmorelda hasn’t been up all night w/a crying/hungry baby (not to mention Chandra) so he probably would be a better bet this weekend.
When I was “protecting and serving” I woulda climbed up and got your Redwood for you. What kinda EMT’s you got down there anyway?

We were re-doing the inside of our church once and the preacher walked over and pulled down a scaffold board, laid it out, and walked down it. He said it was an example of faith. Was easy to walk right there, now put it up 25’ on the tops of the scaffold and why does it become a problem? Board is the same.
Sure were a lot of of “uh, mmm, ohs, etc in church that day. :)
Half a yard this morning, the other half submerged.
Yabutt how’s the fishing?
Not quite deep enough for fishing yet. Rained all night, but it comes in waves. Yards almost look “tidal”. LOL
Have your grand kids show you how to take photos with your iPhone and post them. My nephew does it all the time and they are great photos btw. I gotta zip downtown and check on the carpenters...
Good idea. The elder one put my picture on the phone from when we went go-karting. I can take pictures, just don’t know what to do with them after I take them. LOL
As long as you don’t find tar-balls in the water I think you’ll be OK long term.
Our Bend pastor recently underwent his 3rd surgery to try to repair a badly fractured ankle (this is true) from scaffolding that failed - he fell about 30’.
Chicago is one track we do not have a hankering to visit. #1 - it’s in Illinois (I used to live there, I know) #2 it’s during the summer (humidity) #3 see #’s 1 & 2. Since chores are winding down at my son’s place I should be able to catch qualifying tomorrow. A lot of potential driver/conflict storylines; hoping for a good race. Dale Jr. is now 12th?? Hmmmmmm.
Went home for lunch earlier and the sun was out and my street was under water.
It started raining again before I came back which covered half the main drag.
It doesn’t stop...paging Noah.
They closed my road, am now homeless!
Not really, just went around the block. There was more water coming across the road at lunch. Maybe they were afraid of the barricades washing away. :)
Hot and dry as a (dog) bone in Bend. Residents have problems w/snakes when it floods?
When we lived on the coast the hot inland weather would bring in the fog bank and we wouldn’t see the sun for days. Folks on the coast visit here for the heat, folks here visit the coast for the cool.
Gees, this is TNT’s last race, ESPN next week.
Yeah, snakes can get real bad during floods. Everything starts moving when the water starts rising, even get gators up on the road. The other day there was a six footer runned over by the bridge where the river on the southern border of the county hits the bay.
It’s cool right now, a bit damp, but you can’t go outside because of the skeeters.
We're racing in Yemen this week?
nothing worse than having to weed wack with the trolling motor...
Think I’m going to need a tractor on the rent house, well as soon as the water recedes. LOL
Gators along with the misquitos? Utah is looking better all the time. Here I just cope with jack-rabbits, mule deer and a occasional scorpion.
A “Chase” in the Nationwide series?
