Democrats deeming themselves defeated come November
Washington Examiner ^ | 7-6-10 | Hugh Hewitt

On the first day of July, the House of Representatives passed a "budget enforcement resolution" that "deemed as passed" a $1.12 trillion budget.

Thirty-eight House Democrats voted no, perhaps because they sense in this year of the Tea Party Movement it isn't good politics to engage in such a sham. But pass it did.

More tricks from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi that hide nothing but actually bring great clarity to the next four months. House Democrats might have thought they were deeming as passed a budget, but what they were really doing is deeming their defeat in November.

~snip~

Pelosi's spineless minions did not dare pass a real budget, for a real budget would have shown in black and white -- in red ink, actually -- just how wildly mismanaged the federal fisc has become.

The trio of President Obama, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Pelosi is putting the finishing touches on a one-year deficit of $1.6 trillion, while setting in motion an expansion of the standing debt to well north of $14 trillion.

~snip~

So they deemed a budget in place and went on to shower money on youth summer jobs, black farmers and state government employee unions while not delivering the funding for the war in a way that could have allowed the support to begin flowing to the troops.

~snip~

There is even emerging a climate in which senators thought untouchable, such as New York's Chuck Schumer and Oregon's Ron Wyden, could suddenly find themselves as endangered as Wisconsin's Russ Feingold has become from Ron Johnson or Washington state's Patty Murray by Dino Rossi.

The utter contempt with which these Democrats have treated the future of the country ...

Anybody got a link to the actual vote? I’d love to see if my moonbat critter, Carol Che-Porter (or Shea-Pelosi) voted for this. Another nail in her coffin.

And the plan is to stick it to the voters in a fit of pique after the election. “We’ll show you”. They will use the lame duck session to ram through every piece of crap the progressives have on the shelf. Cap and trade, immigration amnesty, more porkulus. They leave behind a dozen poison pills that the GOP will have to deal with.

“The utter contempt that all Democrats have for voters is despicable!!”

And the utter contempt that all those supporters of Democrats have for voters is absolutely astounding!

(Watch all those “brilliant” Independents show how brilliant they are when they vote Democrat in November.)

IMHO

That's exactly what I was thinking. Jenny Granholm appears to be doing the same here in Michigan. Pete Hoekstra is running for governor in Michigan but I see he didn't bother to vote.

I’ll believe it when I see it on the morning after the election.

In addition to being crooks and thieves, the Rats are experts at intimidation and fraud. While they are alive and functioning they will be stealing both wealth and elections.

6 Republicans RINOS did not vote...those six could have defeated this.

While the RATS will loose several seats in both the house & senate, it won't make much difference. We have way to damn many RINOS and more are on the way.
JMHO

WHO WERE THE 6?

they sealed their fate with this sham. If I was a Democrat, what confidence do we have in electing democrats to do the right thing AFTER the election, if they won’t even do the right thing BEFORE the election

But....but they had to pass the budget to find out what’s in it. Deem if they do and deem if they don’t.

as for digging deep to donate to the GOP committees. NO WAY!
They have not shown us they would do the right thing either. Donate to individual candidates, not to the committee
