Let Them Drink Starbucks! Mika Brzezinski Wants a Ban on All Sugary Sodas (Video)
Newsbusters ^ | July 6, 2010 | Jeff Poor

Posted on 07/06/2010 11:15:20 AM PDT by Rufus2007

It's pretty well documented MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski likes to brag about her workout routine and showcase its effects on her physique. And perhaps for that reason, Brzezinski believes that entitles her to pass judgment on what consumers should put into their bodies.

On MSNBC's July 6 "Morning Joe," Brzezinski boasted about San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom's vending machine soda ban that took effect today. But Brzezinski wanted to take it a step further - not to just ban them in city vending machines, but just stop people from drinking soda altogether.

"And in San Francisco, a ban on sugary drinks in city vending machines is starting to take effect," Brzezinski said. "That's so great. It was issued by Mayor Gavin Newsom, my new hero, Mike Barnicle -- in an effort to combat obesity and improve citizen's health, and it will. In fact, if people would just not drink soda pop, they would be healthier and less fat."

Pepsi - dangerous chemical that should be banned by law for health reasons.

Random bodily fluid from an anonymous sex partner - approved for all uses.

That's SanFran Logic.

Wow, its good to know my fellow elite Americans value freedom of choice. Shoosh. Aren’t these the same asshats that thought they could win a war on poverty now taking on a war on obesity? What do these two wars have in common? Another liberal quagmire in the making.

She “knows better” and is on the side of the angels for caring about you so much.

This is the “progressive” thought pattern.

Frankly I consider those handy containers of sugary drinks a life saver ~ just in case I manage to OD on insulin.

I think the San Fran crowd are getting close to a violation of the Handicapped Access law ~

Little facists, aren’t they.

If you say “Hitler” to them they scream and say what a horrible man. But it’s like they are in love with national socialism.

When I tell people Hitler’s great strength was to institute his brand of political correctness, they stare. They don’t realize, it’s all in the vocabulary. Hitler was the most PC of them all.

They aren’t truly “national” socialists. The “national” part is what they point at when any conservative expresses a love of country - “oh, you must be a Nazi if you love America”.

No, they are INTERnational socialists/fascists. They’d love nothing more than to see America simply sink back into the morass of third world countries and become part of the “World Collective”.

Pepsi is manufactured without alcohol in the process. Coca Cola and other cola drinks do have alcohol in the process.

Many East Asian folks are genetically predisposed in the presence of alcohol to turn red and upchuck ~ which is why they prefer Pepsi!

(NOTE: Coke will neither affirm nor deny the claim, but the Chicoms tend to prefer Pepsi).

The mid-east wont allow coke to be sold in their countries because coke has a plant in Israel. That is the only reason Pepsi is popular there.

Pepsi caters to mooseslimes and the queer agenda. Just one more reason Pepsi is banned in my house. ( BTW...I don't drink either.)

There are plenty of sugar laden drinks at Starbucks.
An over indulgence in iced green tea lattes sweetened
with melon syrup put 18 lbs on me and pushed up
my A1C. Shifting to black coffee pared off that
weight. No other dietary adjustment.

High fructose corn syrup can cause a variety of
liver damage similar to cirrhosis induced by
excess alcohol. The damage is irreversible and
can result in death.

Truly, I'd rather live under a tyrant's rule, than a "concerned progressive's".

The "Concerned Progressive" will never grow tired of their crusade, will never stop, and will always have a clear conscience.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
C. S. Lewis

Because San Francisco is a walled city, of course, and no one in it can manage to get out to the rest of the Bay Area to get a sodee pop. [/s] I mean, seriously Mika, the ONLY way one can access a sugared soda is by purchasing from the way-over-priced vending machines??!! Fer cryin' out loud ... the only reason this dingaling is breathing is that it is automatic, if she had to consciously request her body to inhale and exhale, it's lights out.
