Homosexual 'weddings' should be celebrated in church, says Chris Bryant...(UK)

Homosexual "weddings" should be celebrated in churches, a Government minister has said in defiance of religious teaching.

Chris Bryant, who once posed in his underpants on a gay dating website, said he wanted clergy to be "much more open" to the idea of treating civil partnership ceremonies like traditional marriages.

However, his suggestion goes directly against the rules of the Church of England and the Roman Catholic Church, which state that only the union of a man and a woman can be celebrated by a priest in church

It comes as the Government is pushing through an Equality Bill that religious groups fear will force them to give jobs to homosexual youth workers or secretaries, even if their faith maintains that same-sex relationships are sinful.

The minister replied: "All my friends who have entered into a civil partnership refer to it as their 'marriage' or their 'wedding' so the most important issue is that nobody should be discriminated against because of their sexuality.

"I would like to see churches be much more open to the idea of gay relationships or partnerships being celebrated in church."

Let me guess, he wants to force the churches to do with the power of law?

I wonder when the UK will welcome Pedophiles or Practice Polygamy and Beastiality into marying in the church?

This is what the deviants see as the next step. First, force government recognition of anal-sex-based marriages, then force religious recognition.

They might get all of that -- but I'm not sure it will help them in Hell.

####

A perfect example of how the Left has seized the initiative concerning the wording that frames how issues are debated.

“much more open = embracing perversion counter to the norms of 5000 years of human history.

If we aren’t “open”, we are of course, “closed-minded”, “rigid” and “hateful”.

*Disgusting* Minister Lynne Featherstone indicates gay marriage a step closer Homosexual couples could be allowed to “marry” in traditional religious ceremonies for the first time, a government minister has said.

Didn't they do this in the churches in Sodom and Gomorrah?

My how far Britian has fallen. Now they will dictate pagan practices for Christians? Interestingly obscene.

Why stop at sodomy? Churches should “celebrate” adultery and envy as well. Why stop at celebrating just one sin?

Homosexual 'weddings' should be celebrated in church, says Chris Bryant...(UK)

He can form his own opinions. But the moment he FORCES the church via LEGISLATION to celebrate gay weddings, he crosses a line.

The church should not be mandated on what ceremonies they can or cannot perform for whatever reason.

That’s Proably Next!

Lynne Featherstone, the equalities minister, said the Coalition was considering allowing same-sex couples to include key religious elements in civil partnership ceremonies.

In a parliamentary answer, she disclosed that homosexual couples could be permitted to use “religious readings, music and symbols”.

“religious readings? like homosexuality being an abomination to GOD!

ROMANS 1:26-27
26For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

The Sex Positive Agenda calls Christianity "sex negative" because Christians recognize some pairings to be immoral. The Sex Positive Agenda seeks to end ALL moral judgements over ALL sexual pairings regardless of sex, age, relation, marital status, number, or species of partner(s). "Just say yes". Do as thou will is the whole of the law. Very 'satanic' philosophy on life.

Plenty of Unitarian churches out there that will happily perform the ceremonies, no need to force other churches or temples to perform a ceremony the congregation doesn’t want performed.

Thier idea is flawed because sex is more than just the act of mating, it is power that if one part is too young, or not human, too related, etc cannot be shared equally and can thusly cause issues that can negatively impact one’s emotional well being.

Is the Bible considered an inconvenient detail in this guy’s church? I’ve always been of the opinion that churches should welcome all who are sincerely seeking God, including those struggling with homosexual temptations, but that there is no connection between welcoming the person and embracing their behavior. I don’t believe that someone sincerely seeking God could believe that a Christian church should celebrate homosexuality, any more than a sincere believer could argue that we should celebrate adultery or murder. God is entitled to change the rules on this issue, but a real Christian would wait for God to tell us about His decision to make that change, rather than changing the rules and God’s Word on our own initiative.

When the Equality Bill was being debated earlier this year, an amendment was added by Lord Alli that permitted civil partnership ceremonies to take place in places of worship if the relevant religious group permitted it.............

Quakers, Unitarians and the Liberal Judaism movement will ask to be allowed to host the ceremonies but the Church of England will resist it, despite the wishes of some liberal clerics, as will the Roman Catholic Church in England and Wales.
