Actually for years, Rahm says he lost the tip of his finger in action against the enemy while he was in an Israeli tank. Rahm, a dual citizen, was a volunteer for “Sar’el”——the three-week Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) training program, wherre he worked on brake components for APC’s and tanks in an IDF motor pool.
Later on, when he was running for office (in the US), Rahm claimed he injured the finger at work, on a meat slicer. It became infected, and had to be removed, Rahm said.
