One talent Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan displayed in her career climb could create unique ethics questions for her as a justice: the ability to persuade Harvard Law School alumni and other wealthy donors to give hundreds of millions of dollars, more than meeting a daunting fundraising goal that came with her job as dean.
The $476 million total Kagan reached for the "Setting the Standard" campaign was a record not just for her university but for all law schools.
...Kagan's prolific fundraising sets her apart from the current Supreme Court justices.
... If Kagan is confirmed to the court as expected, it's possible she will encounter Harvard donors again, this time arguing as lawyers, plaintiffs or defendants.

Oh! That’s wonderful. She can use all that good experience to raise money for the USA, thereby reducing our taxes.......
What does her fund raising ability have to do with her competence to be on the SC? Just more of the MSM trying to put lipstick on this pig (figure of speech, only).
“She exceeded the goal, raising roughly $306 million from 2003-08, after her predecessor had pulled in $170 million.”
2003-2008 . . . and just what was the state of the USA economy during that period?
I sure hope someone is keeping track of the consequences the election of Obama have rained down on America. There needs to be a very well done series of political ads come election time.
She Has roots in Chicago, with this administrations record of pay to play politics, it seems a concern. May seem skeptical , but she did fudge a report regarding partial birth abortion. The ethics are a concern.
All that money flowing in, and you still can’t catch a break on tuition!/s;)

"So it sure looks like Obamas people have looked into the matter of Natural born as far back as early 2006. What is even more disturbing is that it would appear that they are following the thought of "If the facts do not support the theory, Destroy the facts!
Because of all the missing files, college, etc., in regards to the zero’s past, is there any way to find out when his handlers found him and then who they might be?
Kagan: 'No view on natural rights''Nominee has disqualified herself from Supreme Court'
Elena Kagan has disqualified herself from serving on the U.S. Supreme Court with her statement under oath that she has no view of "natural rights," says the man leading a letter-writing campaign to the U.S. Senate.
"In all my years of observing hearings in Washington, I don't think I've ever been more stunned and disappointed by the testimony of a Supreme Court nominee than I was with Elena Kagan," said Joseph Farah, spearhead of the "Stop Kagan Campaign," which has generated nearly 60,000 letters to members of the Senate. "This is someone, who, from her own testimony, doesn't believe in the Declaration of Independence, which we just celebrated and commemorated this week for the 234th time in our nation's history. This is someone who claims she doesn't have a view about 'natural rights' - those that real Americans believe are unalienable and God-given."
Lawyers only do things for money. So who paid the lawyers and asked for the research to be done?
Yes, that is the single most important qualification used by the search committees.
Kagan is a moonbat leftist beast. Anyone who votes for her appointment is worse than sommeone voting for Obama, and we know how that worked out.
law firms can be activists, like Holders firm and terrorists rights.
The large Saudi donation to set up Islam studies at Harvard On Kagan's watch is interesting. Given Obamas pro-Islam policies. (NASA). Also it has been reported Saudis help Obama get into Harvard. He is now president and she may be on Supreme court.
Just thinking out loud, the influence seems significant.
