You are, in the words of Joe O’Biden, one bright, articulate (and clean?) son of a gun, Sir!

Worst moments ? The guy is senile and completely deranged. Try finding him when he’s ever “good.”

These people aren't so much rotten as they are clueless. I'm familiar with Stark's district and it's a working class type area. There are a few wealthy and educated people but not that many. What you have is a group of people who simply go into the ballot box and press the D-button.
It wouldn't matter who ran for Congress or the Senate or the President. It's a heavily Democratic district in a heavily Democratic Area. The people who vote for Stark couldn't identify him as their Congressman. They couldn't identify what a Congressman is or the difference between a Congressman or Senator. It's that bad. They are clueless sheep. It's a pathetic situation. But it's not as bad as Henry Waxman's district. There you have very wealthy and well educated people (mostly white) who still vote for one of the biggest Aholes in the House. I despise these people even more. The people in Stark's district are merely stupid and clueless. The voters in Santa Monica are despicable.

Time to bring back the poll tax.

Repeated rubber-stamp re-elections do foster arrogance and complacency in certain members of low character such as Stark.

ALL of Pete Stark’s moments are his worse moments. This guy is a running ad for abortion. What a waste of skin. What a total loser.

I remember when he campaigned at CVHS when I was a senior in 1972, Fortney's first race. He was an a$$hole back then.
It is a solidly Democrat area. Too bad they don't blame Fortney for their homes being $200K underwater.

Maryland real estate taxes controversy
For two years, Stark was allegedly claiming his waterfront Maryland home as his primary residence in order to claim a homestead exemption to reduce his local real estate taxes.[21] Under Maryland law, in order to qualify, the owner must register to vote and drive in MarylandStark uses a California address for those purposes.[22]
On December 24, 2008, the House Ethics Committee began an investigation to Stark using his Maryland residence as his primary residence while claiming to live in San Lorenzo, where neighbors in the area Stark claims to live have never seen him. The home Stark claims to reside and also where he is registered to vote is actually owned and occupied by his in-laws.[23]
