Another ass-kicking: 5th Circuit rejects White House drilling ban appeal By Michelle Malkin • July 8, 2010 07:17 PM
Just in: The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals has just denied the White House request for a stay on U.S. District Judge Martin Feldman’s order striking down the Obama blanket deepwater drilling ban.
Ass. Kicked. Again:
A U.S. appeals court on Thursday rejected the Obama administration’s request to put on hold a ruling that lifted a temporary moratorium on deepwater drilling in the wake of the BP Plc oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
The ruling is a setback for the White House which had sought to suspend deepwater drilling of new wells for six months while it investigated the cause of the April 20 explosion aboard the Transocean Ltd. rig and adopt new stricter safety regulations.

Obama needs to quit worrying about his Boss Soros and start worrying about the Whitehouse being surrounded by p*ssed off oil rig workers. Rig rats are a tough crowd.
The Kenyan accused the last judge of corruption...benefiting from some unholy oil stock or something.

Good news, but I wonder how much difference it makes. By the time Obama stops appealing, shucking, and jiving, all the drilling rigs will have left the area and gone overseas. So he gets what he wants, by hook or by crook.

Anyway, news like this needs to be shouted fromt he roof tops
He will now do it by executive order - stroke of the pen, law of the land.
This makes it all the more imperative (from his totalitarian point of view) that he pack the courts, top to bottom, with Kagan clones.
It did not stop the appeal process itself...and it is the appeal that has created the uncertainty that has stopped all the deepwater drilling operations and has caused the owners of the deepwater drilling equipment to begin to move it to other locales--like Africa and Brazil.
I’ll bet Michelle looks really cute when she says “ass” too...
