Obama: Choice between moving ahead or back
AP on Yahoo ^ | 7/8/10 | Erica Werner - ap

Posted on 07/08/2010 5:48:48 PM PDT by NormsRevenge

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – President Barack Obama on Thursday cast upcoming elections as a choice between the party that caused the economic meltdown and the one that's fixing it, seizing on a populist, sharply partisan theme for the critical November midterms.

"We don't have to guess how the other party will govern because we're still living with the results from the last time they governed," Obama said at a fundraiser for Missouri Democratic Senate hopeful Robin Carnahan in Kansas City. "It's a choice between falling backward and moving forward."

Helped by recent gaffes by Republicans, Obama has arrived at the message he'll employ as he campaigns more frequently and aggressively around the country for Democratic candidates.

...

Obama intended to sound the same themes at fundraisers later Thursday in Nevada for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

The progressive democrat party has only two hopes to avoid annihilation now - the ignorance of the American people and the continued complicity of the press.

There's no other way guys like Obama would feel so confident telling such freakin' whoppers with a straight face.

His lies are so outrageous I cannot stand listening to them go unchallenged.

The choice is FREEDOM based on the moral and inspired ideas of the Founders(BACK at the beginning of this great nation)...and ahead...(which socialists and/or communists use to mean “I’m ahead of you in having control and wealth.”)

“Obama has arrived at the message he’ll employ as he campaigns more frequently and aggressively”

Seems he arrived at this message three years ago. Barry is still blaming Bush for every calamity since the beginning of time. At this point the vast majority of the population is more than willing to move back. “Moving Ahead” with Barry means moving deeper into a hole of unemployment and debt. Axelrod keeps re-writing the same tired teleprompter text over and over.

Is he implying that the Rats caused it or are fixing it? Because not a damned thing they have done has fixed anything.

Lets see, the 2006 election cycle ushered in the
control of both houses to the (D)’s. The employment
level was approx. 5-6%. When the realization that the
candidate for the (R)’s was going to be McLame in 2008
things started to head south. With the colapse of Hellary
and the selection of 0bami, the rest came easy. $4.00 pgal
gas... $147.00 per bbl of oil just to make things look as
bad as possible (all manufactured in my opinion).

Now he stumps on the poor economic condition as everyone
else on their side does as being caused by everyone other
than the ones that actually did the damage...

It would be great if they just once tried another tactic
just to mix things up a little. Their strategy is getting old.

POTUS First draft:
On this road we are on—the extremists on the right say to `serfdom’ (smile slyly into sleeve, then flash that easy grin) in our desire to move this country to an economy that puts people first, a system of permanent, collectivist socialism run by a wise oligarchy of central planners, we must not waiver, we must not falter—we must move forward, not backward.

TOTUS: Too wordy, Barry. We’ll go with the last six.

zero wants to go back to the 1930s. Like FDR blaming Hoover (a rino), zero blames Bush (a lesser rino than Hoover). Like FDR, zero wants to raise taxes, increase entitlements, and increase regulation. Unions, well zero wants them to have more money and power with bailouts for teachers and public sector workers under the guise of “stimulus” as well as the notorious “card check” union cheating bill.
zero also hates the Constitution just like FDR by supporting an unconstitutional health care mandate, appointing radical czars, and SCOTUS nominees, issuing illegal executive orders (offshore oil drilling ban), firing the GM chief, and taking the Chrysler bondholder’s money by intimidating the bankruptcy court. If zero had his way he would have packed the supreme court, but FDR already tried that one.
Let’s see if he starts taking political prisoners like his beloved FDR did when he put 110,000 Japanese prisoners into concentration camps.

Really? I don't remember unemployment or the deficit being anywhere near this high the day Obama took office. I don't remember the US having committed itself to the titanic levels of debt and borrowing Obama has now set us on. Leaders do not try to shift responsibility for their misdeeds. Man up, Mr. President.

Obama is to appear at a reception and dinner for Reid that are expected to reap about $800,000. His appearances for Carnahan were expected to raise more than $500,000.

Can we fight their deep pockets? I swear it's starting to look like the Democrats are the fat cat's party and the Republicans are the poor people's party, I mean literally with fund-raising.

“We don’t have to guess how the other party will govern because we’re still living with the results from the last time they governed,”

No, 0. That is NOT correct.

The Dems held control of Congress ever since 2006. The Dems had a whole lot to do with Fanny, Freddy and subprime lending to poor risks. The Dems also had a lot to do with the inability of the Republicans to cut spending, although I must say GWB and others helped a lot there too.

Conservatives will do a far better job managing things going forward. Not only that, we’ll still live in a free country, one somewhat akin to what our Founders intended. One that’ll preserve the American Dream, and allow the excellent and motivated to prosper.

Not the socialist hellhole you envision, 0.

One can only hope that you’re gone sooner rather than later.

Psalm 109:8 is my thought for the day.

The video I saw on FOX showed a very agitated, sarcastic and bizarre acting Barry.
Apparently, they couldn’t even give away seats and “ volunteers “ were rushing around trying to make the venue look fuller.
It’s pretty bad when $ 299 seats were reduced to $ 99 and $ 35 dollar seats were reduced to $ 17 dollars-
and they still couldn’t find drones willing to pay a couple of bucks to listen to hyper Barry spew his nonsensical gobbeldygook.
In a heavily Democrat , heavily black area.
To top it off, the Washington Examiner noted that Barry used the same phrases to denigrate Republicans that
Malcolm X often used to smear whites.

” Robert Gibbs, Obama’s communications director, said he did not know whether Obama was aware that he was echoing Malcolm X.”
Riiiight.

Of course it might help if the Repubs in the Senate, House & Governorships would echo back a crescendo of drumbeats & accusations against 0b0z0 & the liberal RAT bastard demoRATs for bankrupting our country, for socialist programs that fail everytime, for 18-20% REAL unemployment in our country, for destroying American businesses & so on. And to grow a pair and continually accuse 0bozo of being a RAT socialist communist. Until the GOP speaks up continuously, it will be like it was in 2008, only 0b0z0's socialist-fascist voice will be heard by the dumbed down American voters. Personally I think that only a Civil War II or American Revolution II will solve the problem, to arrest 0b0z0 & the demoRAT party leaders for high crimes & treason and then to the prison or gallows, whatever is warranted.
