I am beginning to think maybe their own “nation’ as a trial experiment might not be bad...We could cordone off all of Detroit, radius 70 miles out also. Give them a $100 million and see what happens!
No welfare, no follow up money...Let them police themselves, trade with each other or the rest of the US, run the hospitals, schools, etc.

Hey, anyone here old enough to remember the old TV show “Queen for a Day”? The biggest sob story got the prize. It was a bit degrading even in the early 60’s IIRC. I took the time to read the NBPP platform, and it’s the most schizoid, paranoid diatribe I’ve seen in a long time. On one hand, they want to be “given” whatever they demand, which ironically, includes self determination. Which they already have. As do all Americans.
They want a separate nation. OK, Zimbabwe is pretty, has a nice warm climate, and is already under black rule. (Which has been a dismal failure since they chased all the European farmers out.)
So which is it? Do you want to take charge of your own lives, or do you want to stay on the dependency plantation for another few generations? Sounds like both.
That at the next NAACP convention that a button appears in front of all participants asking: would you prefer that slavery never existed in the US? Yes or no.
If the majority said yes, then all blacks would move to the dimension where they remained at their point of origin. You can imagine their comparative standard of living.
What ingrates!
Never mind that blacks there have the lowest standard of living in the world.
