Yes, to be clear, I like DeMint. It's the hypocritical arrogance of PDS that I dislike, and the above Rabs example that I gave is exhibit "A".

A lot of people did dumb things in the 2008 election cycle.

That's why I can't--in all fairness--count it against DeMint, just like I can't count the fact that Palin co-signed her name to a WSJ op-ed piece by McCain in which she promised to protect Americans against bailouts. (Then she did nothing while McCain suspended his campaign to attack conservatives and cheerlead for TARP in DC.)

Nor can I count against Palin her cheerleading for McCain during the 2008 election cycle.

You would do well to notice that my chief complaints about her include her endorsements of McCain and Fiorina; her PAC's questionable activity with regards to supporting Murkowski, Graham, and Hatch; her full-throated campaign for McCain that fairly blatantly transcended any notion of repaying a favor or mere loyalty; and her wishy-washy attitude towards unlawful immigration and the rule of law. All of these complaints are based on her actions after the 2008 election cycle was completed.

I've complained about those two endorsements too.

A lot of people did dumb things in the 2008 election cycle.

Yes, but as I pointed out to you the other day, a Palin supporter in 2012 will be able to say the same thing about Sarah and her support for McCain in the 2010 election cycle.

By that time, there won't be a dimes worth of difference between DeMint's poor endorsements and Palin's poor endorsements.

Think about it.

...and her wishy-washy attitude towards unlawful immigration and the rule of law.

Different topic.

More about that on another thread.
