[EMAIL: Man Shot In Head During Break-In] Email [PRINT: Man Shot In Head During Break-In] Print [COMMENTS: Man Shot In Head During Break-In] Comments (14) Bookmark and Share LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A frightening scene overnight for one Louisville family when an attempted burglary ended with one man shot and another running away.
The incident happened around 3:30 a.m. Monday in the 900 block of marshal Street in the Shelby Park neighborhood.
Police are calling it a case of self-defense; neighbors call it a sad reminder of the times they live in.
"It sounded to me like someone was throwing firecrackers at first then knew it was gunshots," said neighbor Charledesha Clark.
The family who lives in the one-story home got an unexpected wake up call.
"They were trying to get into the home and he was prepared, he fought them off and shot one of the suspects," said Officer Carey Klein of Metro Police.
Police said a confrontation between the homeowner and the two black males attempting to get into the home resulted in gunfire.
The homeowner shot one of the suspects on the front lawn. He was later taken to University Hospital in serious condition.

I'm torn between hoping the wounded perp dies or lives to face man's justice. Knowing how we have no real justice in this country today (mercy to criminals is injustice to victims) I lean towards having him die and face God's justice. For his sake I hope he makes a deathbed conversion.
Stand on the air hose and help him along would be my advice here. Something written on the tablet of ten tells me he has judged himself by breaking one of them. God through Moses expressed his belief one should not steal. No wonder these days where the government is rapidly stealing property and money from us that He seems to be turning His back on this country. We even have a false profet in the White Hut now.

That's a no-no in some states, isn't it? Not that it should be. I say if a guy has broken into your house, he's fair game anywhere on your property. Shooting him in the back is OK, too. A man's home is his castle, and so is his whole yard, coming or going. It's a war.
"My house has been broken into before so now it's making me look into legal action to see how I can get a hand gun," said Clark.
Hmm. I wonder why she thinks she needs to take legal action to see how she can get a hand gun. Felon or just ignorant?
