abc: What Do You Think of the NAACP's Condemning Tea Party Elements as 'Racist'?
abcnews ^ | June 13, 2010 | HUMA KHAN

Posted on 07/13/2010 9:05:51 AM PDT by maggief

The NAACP is expected to approve a resolution today condemning the Tea Party for "racist elements that are a threat to democracy."

The proposed resolution, which is expected to pass today at the organization's annual convention in Kansas City , Mo., cites cases of what it calls "explicitly racist behavior," including "signs and posters intended to degrade people of color generally and President Barack Obama specifically."

NAACP spokeswoman Leila McDowell told ABC News, "We're deeply concerned about elements that are trying to move the country back, trying to reverse the progress that we've made," and asked that "law-abiding members of the Tea Party repudiate those racist elements, that they recognize the historic and present racist elements that are within the Tea Party movement."

Good to read that article. The NBPP is basically the jihad wing of the Nation of Islam. 100% racist garbage.

I wrote this definition 5-6 years ago based on my observations of the debate over illegal immigration:

Race baiting: The practice of injecting race into a debate where it has no legitimate place, for the sole purpose of heightening and exploiting racial tension, in order to stifle the debate. Those who engage in it are by definition racist.

Last line is the critical one....RACE BAITERS ARE BY DEFINITION RACIST! Ergo, NAACP and all the other 'racial identity' and 'ethno-centric' organizations who play the race card as a political weapon are fundamentally and undeniably RACIST!

Then what....? The black community wants so badly to be free of whites but have they considered what follows? I suspect not. What would their society look like? I’m betting it would look like current day Africa. Take a functioning prosperous society and drive it into the dirt. The freedoms they’ve enjoyed to now would be gone replaced w/ dictatorship and factional fighting. This is the best they can do for all the huffing and puffing about ‘whitey’.

Well didn’t Michelle Obama speak before the NAACP and say “you have to rachet it up!”? The Tea Party group I am involved with is headed by a black man, an Asian man, and a woman. How do you like that for diversity? The NAACP has a much less reason for existing. They did great work in the old civil rights days-—getting rid of Jim Crow etc. They are basically sitting on their laurels of past glories. Most of the problems the black community is facing today is not the result of whitey being a bigot. It’s not due to some cracker under a sheet. Their problems have to be solved from within-—not from government or from outsiders (mushy liberal social workers and community organizers). Thank God there are many (wish there were more) black folks who have not drunk the Kool Aid. If this country goes in the Sh*tter we are all done for—black white yellow and brown. That is what the Tea Party is about-—our country not going down the sewer like a big turd. The left wants to make us out to be bigots, Klan, white supremacists, whatever. The only thing the NAACP might be right on is that we are nationalists. WE LOVE OUR COUNTRY. Being a patriotic American is what the left despises most. They equate it first and foremost with Nazism. Plus because they have a globalist perspective, they just don’t get it. NAACP< please wake up. Don’t be a tool of the left. Too many of your rank and file are good people who have done great work in the past.

They probably think the law of gravity is racist. It’s like the boy who cried wolf. Who can take them seriously anymore?

The NAACP is expected to approve a resolution today condemning the Tea Party for "racist elements that are a threat to democracy."

Huh? If 51% of the nation were a bunch of racist crackers who wanted to repeal the 13th amendment, wouldn't "democracy" demand that it be repealed? (one of many, many reasons a Constitutionally limited republic is far superior to a democracy, but the Constitutional limits are being torn away every day by politicians in both parties). Democracy is people ruling through their direct votes, so how can their expressed opinions be a threat to democracy other than saying that someone else shouldn't be allowed to vote?

cites cases of what it calls "explicitly racist behavior," including "signs and posters intended to degrade people of color generally and President Barack Obama specifically."

When you "cite" a case, you give specifics as to what was said, who said it, along with when and where it was said. Hinted rumors are not a citiation of evidence. I want to know what those "signs" said and where and when they were shown. Then we can check if they were real and if they were, then were they brought by agent provocateurs from SEIU or other similar organizations. About the only thing I saw were some signs questioning his citizenship, which would be the same whether he was Kenyan or Austrian. The only "citation" I know of were accusations of racial epithets used at the DC rally, which by some Dracula-like magic, weren't able to be recorded on the numerous pieces of video and audio recording equipment brought by both sides of the argument (and maybe couldn't have been seen in a mirror either, for all that I know).

Wrong. The New Black Panthers are openly revolutionary communist. And the so-called "Nation of Islam" is a "Black Liberation" revolutionary communist front movement just like Wright's bogus church.

Re: Millions More Movement rally, Oct 15, 2005:

"Mao Tse Tung, throughout his long march to conquer China, had a billion people whose lives he had to transform. Many of them were victims of opium, drugs and prostitution, like we are. But Mao Tse Tung went to the cultural community and they accepted his idea. Then, through song, dance, poetry, drama, documentaries, movies and books, the idea of Mao Tse Tung became the idea of a billion people. China became a world power on the base of culture and the artistic community. If we had a Ministry of Art and Culture in every city, [we'd] create this movement [in the U.S.], we could say to our young people, “What is the idea of the Time and are you reflecting that idea in your songs, dance and music?

We need a Ministry of Trade and Commerce. Do you think that a Millions More Movement should not be involved in the development of Africa, the Caribbean and Central America? ... we need a Ministry of Trade and Commerce that can link the struggle here with Africa and the Caribbean, Central and South America.

Who gives a flying you know what about what this group thinks. If I was a Republican I would never give a speech and give any credence to this organization. They have power because the main stream news media gives them power. When they announce a boycott of something they have to have the outlets to scare company’s with and to be honest nobody even cares but yet they still have enough clout to scare advertisers.

Then you’d feel right at home in Africa or the Middle East, Malik. Go ahead, escape oppression here while you’ve got the chance . . . lead the pilgrimage back to the motherlands.

It is becoming apparent that Obama and American Left radicals are trying to start a race war.

I think they believe that fomenting racial animosity will solidify their support. It might accomplish that among their radical supporters, but it will certainly alienate supporters who are not radical and/or black.

The radical element within the Democratic Party represents a very tiny minority within that Party and it is chasing away more centrist Dims. And what about previously sympathetic (left leaning) Independents...aren't they also going to abandon the Party?

Bottom line: it seems that, in the Democratic Party, the patients have taken over the asylum! And Obama, instead of calling the men in white coats, has not only sided with the patients...he is revealing that he's the most dangerous psychopath in the hospital!

I have long been cured of white guilt. These fools think it will matter what they proclaim, it won’t make a bit of difference to most Americans who have gotten used to being called racist for disagreeing with the commie POS in the White House. It has become a meaningless accusation to most people who see through the BS.

I think that the NAACP is an irrelevant racist organization that should have no bearing on what conservatives say or do. They will still call us racists regardless of what we might do to appease them so ignore them and openly tell them to piss off.

It would be a popcorn popping event if these POS racists were to migrate back to Africa. Within a day of setting foot on Mother Africa’s soil most would be dead and the real Africans would have their possessions.
