When someone does a poll of actual Tea Party attenders, then we’ll know.

I'm pretty certain most Tea Party members, like most other Americans, are opposed to gay marriage without any poll numbers. But they didn't join the Tea Party movement over the gay marriage issue or any other social issue - they joined to oppose out-of-control government spending and the health-care takeover. The proof is obvious - attend a Tea Party rally, talk to the folks there and see for yourself.

The premise underlying the tea party is one and the same as that underlying the Republic -E Pluribus Unum, Out of Many, One versus the leftists Out of One Big One, Many Small Ones that will comply.

What we hold as self-evident and unalienable is what is basis for the Republic and the powers granted it to primarily protect such. All else rightly designated within the domain of the States and ultimately ALL is the domain of the people...

IF for instance, Massachusetts chooses among other things high taxes, socialized medicine, homosexual marriage, and socialist indoctrination in public schools then let the people decide and as well let the people vote with their feet -IF Massachusetts or for that matter any locality or State pursues self destructive policies THEN let them -let them without the rest of the country being forced to follow, and or subsidize, and or bail out such nonsense... Just as the financial free market weeds out the inept so will the moral free market. History has shown what works and no amount of studies, research and government strong arming will change reality...

The idiot libertarians and progressives fail to notice, or mention, that striking down the federal definition of marriage part in DOMA makes fake marriage recognition portable to ALL the states, and will be used as powerful leverage by the homofascists to whittle away at state marriage protections laws. That they don’t see this, or conveniently fail to ignore it, is astounding.
