HELENA, MONTANA -- An overflow crowd jammed the Helena school board meeting Tuesday night to voice their concerns -- and support -- about a proposal to extend sex education to children as young as kindergarten age.
According to the 62-page draft proposal, beginning in kindergarten, school nurses will teach students proper terms such as "nipple, breast, penis, scrotum and uterus." Once they are promoted to first grade, children will learn that sexual relations could happen between two men or two women. By the time students are 10 years old, instruction will include the various ways people can have intercourse, be it vaginally, orally or through "anal penetration," according to the proposal.
"As educators and as parents and as communities, we need to be more proactive in helping inform our students at an appropriate age what the risk factors are associated with their own behaviors so that they can make better decisions about their well-being," Dr. Bruce Messinger, the Superintendent of Helena Public Schools, told Fox News.

Moral absolutes ping
When are they going to teach the kids to make out complicated insurance forms?
This is madness.
Why is the NEA in such a hurry to sexualize our children? Can’t they just be kids? Why not leave it up to the parents to decide these issues? (Rhetorical questions only)

Here is a thread that describes the process by which pedophiles desensitize children to their aversion to sex in order to prey on them.
Since when is it the Job of School Boards to “GROOM” children for PEDOPHILES?
Jackson — what a great man!
It’s gotten extremely hard for me to be civil to people who put their children in public school. Comes a point where their ignorance has to be willful.
The people who are pushing for this should be dragged out of their homes, stripped naked, and tarred and feathered.
I can clearly remember the shock I felt when I learned about the female reproductive system and all it entailed. I was in the 5th grade and felt like someone had punched me in the stomach. I knew the basics, however did not know about menstration. I can’t even fathom a first grader learning about this, or a third grader learning various sexual positions.
He was the best. The best of us. Imagine what might have happened had he not died before the end of the war?
Well, dontcha know? It’s always happening at someone else’s school.
The leftist world view MUST do this. They MUST promote thir flawed, failed and immoral world view through indoctrination so as to aleviate their pain of knowing how wrong they are technically, morally, and spiritually. What they want is generations of people who will look at their chosen behavior and call it good or at least okay.
Forget that emotionally kids are not ready at all for the extreme nature of the topics they wish to discuss, forget that they are not mature enough to understand...no no no...they MUST indoctrinate.
This and mor ei swhy I home school. Those morally bankrupt scum will not fill my children with failed lies so that they can become bottom dwellers like tyhe leftists of our nation.
Were I president I would get rid of the Deptartment of Education as it is unconstitutional, and I would advocate the same in each state and simply say it belongs to the people. IF the people vote on it and agree with having that kind of governmental oversight then fine, but NO unionized teacher past or present would be allowed to be in that department, nor ANYONE associated with the unions or other political organizations. they must be independant and answer only to the organization created.
Time to take sex ed out of the class room and put it back on the shoulders of the parents.
>>Well, dontcha know? Its always happening at someone elses school.<<
I hear that all the time.
It’s time to dissolve Carter’s Dept. of Indoctrination, the NEA, public schrools, and sex ed.
I also remember hearing, when they were arguing for Sex Ed at age 13: “We won’t go any younger. Don’t worry. We promise”
0bama is fulfilling another campaign promise to Planned Parenthood.
this is so crazy - this was the town I grew up in and received an excellent education from via public schools. It is mind blowing to see the stupidity that the supt. of schools is attempting to do. It is making Helena the laughing stock of the country.
My Big Three for defunding (elimination) EPA, EDU, and Interior.
If the parents were Muslims who were threatening to do jihad against the mostly Leftist schrool admin and teachers for this crap you’d see the Leftists bend over so quickly for them it’s not even funny.
Have you watched TV lately, or just about any movie?
The queers own and run Hollywood.
The liberal perverts own and run the MEDIA.
Their agenda is to bring this once great country down into the gutter where they live.
The federal government is corrupt from top to bottom.
We need a Revolution.
It's the only thing that could possibly save us, and I don't believe it will ever happen.
That’s a start!
Even Montana has the same kind of concentrated Democrat parasite nests (cities) that screw up every other state in the nation. My advice? Let them do whatever they want - - who cares? They’re hopeless toilets anyway. Just keep your children (and yourself) as far away from them as possible.
“My Big Three for defunding (elimination) EPA, EDU, and Interior.”
Let us know if you find any Republicans advocating elimination of these entities.
I have been living in Monana since 1971 and am aghast to see how my state is being infested by liberals.
And people wonder why I homeschool.
My kids know about sex, from me. They know it’s for procreation because they see squirrels and rabbits in the backyard then see babies not long after. They don’t need positions or techniques at 10 and 12, let alone 5 and 6. They need to know that if someone is touching you inappropriately, it’s not right.
I tell them what is inappropriate. If they are desensitized by constantly having it explained, over and over, then it doesn’t feel wrong, does it?
I swear, that is their aim. Simply to desensitize.
My question was rhetorical. I know the answer. But, your link is great. Thanks for sharing!
Obviously you didn’t finish reading my post. :>). I stated that my questions were rhetorical, which means I know the answers. But you are right on all your points.
Do these people really have nothing better to do with their time? They seem helpless to think of anything else in life but sex.
You mean like teaching Reading Writing and History?
The NEA appears to be a cover group for pedophiles.
If some guy whispered this stuff to your kid at the playground, he’d be arrested, and rightly so.
I agree. I decide what my five year knows...not the NEA.
You mean like actually teaching the kids something useful? Like they're getting paid to do?
I guess not. Never mind that public schools are supposed to be for education children and the drop out rate and literacy rates are an abomination.
But, hey! Who cares if they can't read or write? As long as they can feel good about themselves and throw off the shackles of that old fashioned Judeo_Christian morality.
I remember my 10 year old seeing two birds mating. “What are they doing?” he asked. After determining the one was alive, I said, “Mating. They were making babies.” He wrinkled his nose and said,”Oh” He knows, but is 10 years old and doesn’t want to think about that activity.
WHO is Jackson - who are you talking about???
You should have the "Big Five", and include the IRS and the Fed.
IF the people vote on it and agree with having that kind of governmental oversight then fine,
Please, please, please think about what you have written above. Instead, what’s needed is complete privatization.
Please think about this. Education is fundamentally at its very core a process of cultural, political, and religious indoctrination. It is **never**, and never can be, religiously, culturally, or politically neutral in its content or consequences.
Therefore....If we have the citizens voting about what should be included or excluded from government run and owned schools, we immediately set up a situation where factions and groups of citizens get **very mad** at each other as they fight for control of the government school curriculum. Of course this competition becomes fierce and acrimonious! Why? Answer: Because the winner of the curriculum wars wins the hearts and minds of the next generation of voters!
There is only one thing that government schools do well ( and this would be true even if school districts were the size of a suburban housing subdivision), they get citizens very mad at each other!
Solution: We must work to begin the process of privatizing K-12 education. We must begin the process of having complete separation of school and state.
**ALL** government schools are ( and always have been) a First Amendment and freedom of conscience abomination.
Sorry. We’re are chatting about my tag line on “Stonewall” Jackson.
I apologize for the confusion. :)
Might have been poor phraseology as I agree with your arguments. When government gets involved it does so as an extension of the people. Now, I am NOT saying that this means they (government) involved the people in education decisions...after all, Pelosi and Reid demonstrate they do not want the people involved and see themselves as higher than any citizen. However, by absence we are involved too as we empower bad leadership to take our non-involvement as approval for their despicable actions.
Equality of OUTCOME is not any kind of right and government should NOT be involved in that. Equality of access is not a right either as you need to meet standards to get into any organization. Education is not a right, but it IS a fundamentally important aspect to the greatness or weakness of our nation and thus completly in the public interest. To that end government should only be involved in the protection of rights as relates to our schools and not the invented ones created by leftists of our time whose only real interest is their own power over all of us.
Leftists have hurt education and the very people they claim to be helping more than they have ever helped it. It took conservatives to bring us civil rights as the eftists democrats of the day were more involved in the KKK than they ever were in the rights or needs of minorities. yet they teach just the opposite in schools. The sick bastards only fulfilling what Michele Obama dangerously said the other day when sh actually said (to the NAACP) that we need “to change our history...” No code there...just a striaght up assault on truth for the sake of the lying left to walk away from their history and responsibility.
The conservative “involvement” in education should be directed at bringing as much private competition to the system as possible, and in getting as many children out of the system as possible. Attempting reform government schooling is like trying to put out a raging forest fire with a water pistol. Or...As one witty Freeper said, “Like throwing a grape and hoping to hit Mars.”
Two strategies can be used. The first is shame!
( The following is my post from another thread:)
The only solution is start removing your own children. Government schools need two things: children and the money attached to that child. Remove the children! Drip, drip, drip, the money dries up!
By the way, it is time that we make parents feel uncomfortable about, and ashamed, that their children are using these godless government schools. ( **ALL** government schools in this nation are godless in their worldview.)Why on earth, or in heaven, would any parent allow their child to be taught to think godlessly??? Huh? Why are they **doing** this???.
And...We should do the same for any teacher agreeing to support this godless abomination and accepting a paycheck for doing it. If these teachers **really** loved these children they would be doing all they could to get their students out of these hellish government schools and into private schools that thoroughly integrated the word of God ( as practiced by the child's family) into the very fabric of every minute of the child's school day.
The second approach would be to set up conservative alternatives: ( Again, one of my posts from another thread.)
Wealthy conservatives should start education foundations. The conservative foundations would award grants to individual teachers. The teachers would open tuition-free one room schools in their homes. The foundations would certify the teachers, do periodic inspections, approve the curriculum, and test the students.
The foundations would also break the monopoly that government schools have on team sports by supporting community-wide teams and all the rah-rah that goes with it such as cheer leading). The foundations would also run community wide music and arts programs as well.
Can anyone **IMAGINE** the savings of not having to own or maintain buildings?
Of course, as taxpayers we should insist that the health and safety regulations on these one-room schools should not be any greater than those met by our currently run day care providers.
While I dislike the idea of giving any service away for free, it would be necessary in the beginning. Our government schools are charging the price of free at the door, and the conservatives schools would need to match the government price-controlled, cartel, monopoly price of free. Eventually, as government schools closed, due to competition from the conservative one-room schools, the foundations would expect the parents to gradually take on the full cost of educating their own child.
As for free education:
Look at the endowments our colleges and universities. Harvard has a 35 BILLION dollar endowment! Universities across the nation have endowments in the billions and multi-millions. If the government had **never** planted its big fat hairy foot in the free market of K-12 education, it is possible that today **all** of our nation's children would be enjoying private, tution-free, K-12 schooling funded through private endowments.
From the Fox article:
Angela Helland-Hansen told the board that she was surprised to see that staff from Planned Parenthood were included in the committee that developed the document.
Why are we allowing Planned Parenthood to help with this when they stand to profit from these people who will be their future clients? the Record reported.
I wonder if they’ll allow each child to bring a porn video to class on “show & tell” day?
Oh, ok. Thanks much.

thanks for posting this. Cut Montana some slack, because this is not over. Next school board meeting is August 10 and we need some prayer support!
Cut Montana some slack?
All wagglebee did was ping his ping list. How does that warrant your response?
And FWIW, NO. There is no cutting someone slack with this kind of agenda in the schools. That’s what is causing the problem in the first place.
Certainly, we can pray, but we will not be kept silence in voicing our outrage about stuff like this.
Cutting groups slack based on the idea that common sense will somehow prevail is the way America wound up in the mess it's in now.
Looks like you read me wrong. I was not criticizing the ping, I just said it’s not over. It’s not MONTANA proposing this new curriculum, it’s the superintendent of school district 1 in Helena. I did not say anything about cutting HIM some slack.
The school administrators and teachers here in Helena are NOT behind this change from what I have been hearing.
So again, could Montana have some prayer support while we work on this?
