WASHINGTON (Reuters) Aides to U.S. President Barack Obama will aim on Wednesday to lift sagging confidence in their economic leadership by arguing that their policies are creating millions of jobs and spurring private investment.
A report to be released at 11 a.m. EDT (1500 GMT) will estimate that Obama's $862 billion economic stimulus package, which passed last year, has saved or created 3 million jobs and is on track to meet its goal of 3.5 million jobs by the end of this year.

The Democrats’ campaign theme will be something along the lines of things would have been so much worse without Obama and his party. No matter how bad things get this will be the meme. They saved us.
I thought he dumped his “saved jobs” a year ago.
Someone should let him know there already is something that tracks all this. It’s called the unemployment rate.
Zero is a fvcking liar. Period.
And prosperity is just around the corner.
The report comes a day after a pair of polls raised red flags for Obama and his Democrats, who appear vulnerable four months before November congressional elections. Republicans are seeking to overturn Democratic dominance in both houses of the U.S. Congress.
** Economists: The stimulus didn’t help **
In latest quarterly survey by the National Association for Business Economics, the index that measures employment showed job growth for the first time in two years — but a majority of respondents felt the fiscal stimulus had no impact.
Global warming fraud in the science community is like masturbation, everybody did it but denies it in public.
And also, just gillions of Unicorns too!!!
They have been terminated all over the place. Oakland lost 80, Sacramento county has been loosing hundreds.
There. Fixed it.
It probably did save millions of jobs. Why in our state alone, there are at least 25 road projects in every two mile radius. By the end of this year, I think every inch (literally) of road in Wisconsin will have been repaved, every bridge rebuilt and every curb recemented. Never mind the fact that these aren’t jobs that will last past next year, there are dozens of high donating road builders who will have to donate to Obama in 2012.
The U.S. has lost 2.2 million jobs since President Barack Obama took office. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the total number of jobs nationwide fell from 134.3 million at the end of January to 132.2 million at the end of May.
The unemployment rate now stands at 9.4 percent, up from 7.6 percent at the end of January. I think my initial measure of success is creating or saving 4 million jobs, said President Obama on February 9.
Monthly job losses reported by the BLS are as follows:
President Obama demanded that Congress spend hundreds of billions of dollars to stimulate the economy, said Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform. "On Friday, February 13 Congress approved a disgraceful trillion-dollar spending and debt package under the guise of economic stimulus. Since that date at least 1.5 million jobs have been lost in America.
Spend more money. Have fewer jobs, continued Norquist. Let's stop this madness.

They all lie.
Which begs the question of exactly where they put them.
Obama had to destroy the economy in order to save it...
This must mean that Obama has 1,000,000 aids.
Millions of jobs were saved...GOVERNMENT JOBS.
Say enough and some idiots will believe it.....
“Aides” = stuck on stupid Keynesian economic garbage collectors and idiots......
Dec 2008: 145,362,000
Jun 2009: 140,038,000
Jun 2010: 139,119,000
Over six million jobs have been lost during this period.
Oops. The second chart should be captioned Canada No Stimulus.....http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2010/07/graph_of_the_day_for_july_12_2.html
Precisely. Unionized jobs in the government sector, government schools and other employees of state and local government.
How can ANYONE prove that even a single job was saved? You can’t, no one can. This is a 100% straw-man argument.
These delusional socialist liars would not simply get through their tiny brains that the majority of voters do not believe their lies anymore. They stopped believing their lies long time ago and nothing is going to change that.
Always somewhere on this forum there is a fool trying to say 1+1 =3 rather than 1+1=2. No, the so called stimulus saved no jobs. It was supposed to be maximum 8% unemployment with the so called the stimulus and we 9.5% and taking out the lies of the labor bureau who are dropping hundreds of thousands of people looking for job from the unemployed list we are more 10.5% and if you take out the part time and temporary jobs we have almosy 17% unemployment rate.
Let’s see, there are 150M in the American workforce, so they can’t be unemployed if they’re in the workforce, so if they’re still working it must be because they haven’t lost their jobs, and if Obama’s policies haven’t caused them to lose their jobs, i.e., .....he’s saved 150,000,000 jobs. What audacity, what a man, .......
They may have ‘saved’ some govt jobs at the local and state levels (union members are always more important, e.g. UAW, SEIU) but created ? I don’t think so.
My original understanding of the stimulus was that the banks needed help in order to keep small business lines of credit open which in turn would prevent layoffs. That sounded half way logical to me at the time. Doesn’t look like much of anything happened along those lines though, does it?
And God consults with me before he does anything! /s
Keep in mind, some 85% of Obama's stimulus is still in Washington. Ohaha's hoarding it among his several slush funds, doling it out to imperiled Dems' 2010-12 campaigns.

Stimulus grants: Why Was The White House Website Riddled With Errors?
Officials tell ABC News so far, they found 700 mistaken Congressional districts out of more than 130,000 stimulus grants. On Monday night, ABC reported on errors found on the website set up by the White House to track the number of jobs created or saved by the economic stimulus program. The website was riddled with reports of jobs in places that didn't even exist. That report prompted anger on Capitol Hill, and defensiveness at the White House. On Tuesday night's broadcast, ABC's Chief Congressional Correspondent Jon Karl took another look at the stimulus confusion (link) http://blogs.abcnews.com/theworldnewser/2009/11/why-was-white-house-website-riddled-with-errors.html
LINK---Jon Karl: White House Vows to Correct Stimulus Reports Officials Tell ABC News So Far, They Found 700 Mistaken Congressional Districts Out of More Than 130,000 Stimulus Grants
ABC NEWS' JONATHAN KARL, Chief Congressional Correspondent, REPORTS, Nov. 17, 2009
When it comes to stimulus spending, could the wheels of government bureaucracy be grinding too quickly for once? Responding to more inaccuracies discovered in the reporting of spending and job creation from the administration's economic stimulus plan, the top White House official charged with overseeing the program vowed today to go through the reports with a fine-toothed comb and to correct the mistakes.
The promise came after ABC News found that Recovery.gov, the government Web site created to track the expenditures, had many job creation and stimulus spending figures that were attributed to congressional districts that do not exist, or that were incorrectly identified.
"The first time out, we knew there were going to be problems," said Edward DeSeve, special advisor to the president on the stimulus bill. "We don't think there are a lot of them. There are less than 1 percent in terms of the recent concern about congressional districts of the overall reports. And we've got a good commitment from the recovery board to work with us to fix them."
Officials tell ABC News, so far, they have found 700 mistakenly credited congressional districts out of more than 130,000 stimulus grants. The White House's Web site claims that more than 640,000 jobs have already been saved and created by the " $787 billion stimulus program. The reports used to come up with that number are riddled with errors.
In addition to the jobs in non-existent congressional districts reported Monday by ABC News, in real congressional districts, there are also problems, lots of them.
Moore's Shoes in Campbellsville, Ky., claims nine jobs were created from an $890 grant for nine pairs of work boots for the Army Corps of Engineers. Head Start of Augusta, Ga., claimed 317 jobs with a $790,000 grant, but it was really just a one-time raise to its 317 employees.
Chris Whitley is a fiscal officer for Central Savannah River Area Economic Opportunity Authority, which administers the Head Start program in Augusta. He says it was the administration's stimulus help line that advised them to claim 317 jobs. "It wasn't illegal, immoral or unethical. And they told me to do it, so I did it," said Whitley.
The mistakes have prompted anger on Capitol Hill. Rep. David Obey, D-Wis., the powerful chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, was outraged that one sewer project in his district was listed as creating 100 jobs. The real number is five. When asked what he thought when he saw the mistakes in his district, Obey said, "I wanted to strangle somebody."
Obey is demanding the administration fix the mistakes. "Fix the problem, the blessed problem, so that we're getting accurate information. I don't care what people's bureaucratic niceties are, or how hard it is to do it. I mean, they've got to fix the problem, so the American people can understand what the realities are.
Thank you for the ping and info!!!!!
The recipient of a $400 million loan guarantee from the US Dept of Energy in 2010-----Russell Kanjorski-----made headlines, along with his siblings, in 2002 when a company they owned received as much as $9 million in federal grants that their uncle US Rep. Paul E. Kanjorski, D-Nanticoke helped obtain using controversial "earmarks." That company, Plains Township-based Cornerstone Technologies, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2006.
REFERENCE----NRCC REPORT In 2002, US Rep. Paul E. Kanjorski, D-Nanticoke paid a family business and several family members over $9.5 million tax dollars. One business was K&K Real Estate, a business he co-owns with his brother.
From 1999 to 2002, Kanjorski used controversial Congressional "earmarks" totalling nearly $9.4 million given to Cornerstone Technologies Inc., owned by Kanjorskis nephews, and its sister company Pennsylvania Micronics.
In 2008 after more than a year in the hands of a court-appointed trustee, the bankruptcy of Cornerstone Technologies was nearing an end. Funded with $9.2 million in federal defense earmarks secured by the congressman, the company halted operations in 2003. Company officials filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy Sept. 26, 2006 with Cornerstone reporting $14,100 in assets compared with $1.34 million in debt, according to bankruptcy court records.
QUESTION Can the Kanjorskis produce documents that show where they spent millions of tax dollars? Did they file all the proper IRS documents? (Stolen money is taxable.)
RESPONSE Oh, never mind the FBI, SEC, IRS, DOJ can find out (/snix).
POSSIBLE CHARGES Official acts prohibited, misuse of govt funds, abuse of public office; misuse of government position; abuse of government power; conflict of interest; influence buying; conspiracy to deceive; misuse of office, collusion, conspiracy to collude; govt fraud.

(2) Banks holding monies for the Kanjorski entities need to be examined by an outside auditor to determine if the bank was used for fraud.
(3) FEC documents need to be exposed to determine whether campaign contributions were exchanged for tax dollars.
(4) Filing false documents and falsified information incurs felony charges for 1st-degree tampering with public records, 1st-degree offering of a false instrument for filing, 4th-degree grand larceny, and 1st-degree falsifying of official records.
Only hockey goalies can count 'saves'!
I was being sarcasic chief. Wisconsin has a road project every ten feet and they're using that crap as a way to say they've saved jobs. On a certain level, there is no question all these jamokes would be out of a job had the state and feds not tossed millions of dollars into repaving the entire state. Too bad they've ignored the business community in Wisconsin by raising taxes at every level.
