A gramma doesn't really need to learn to riot. It's enough for her to be a riot.

Samarium Cobalt works better for their purposes.

It’s a shame that the video tapes were damaged by swamp gas.

It is standard practice for most agencies to have the dispatcher try to keep 911 callers on the line until they know the responders are on scene. Doesn’t alwalys happen that way for any number of reasons.

I have been told on occasion that I could CAUSE a riot but I was younger then. And then I had 3 children and became a riot. Or is that a circus. I forget.

The cop spokesman can't even keep his own story straight on that one.

http://www.8newsnow.com/Global/story.asp?S=12801643

"If I give you a command to drop the weapon or get on the ground, or whatever I happen to do, and you don't comply with that and you have a weapon in your hand, you continue moving forward and pointing at me, I'm going to definitely think that my life is in danger. I would definitely think, in my mind, that you're going to shoot me," said Metro Capt. Patrick Neville.

So which is it, Captain Neville? Drop the weapon or get on the ground? You can't have both, and then shoot him when he chooses to obey one.

Sure they can. And probably get away with it unless his family makes noise. And his Dad just might do that.

-- If I don't riot soon, I wont be able to, nor remember what a riot is, or where they have them at --

ROTFL. Man, I am so with you. This is an important tip - senility isn't when you forget where you put the car keys. Senility is when you forget what the car keys are for.

I’m sure the resident would be likely to say the vet clinging to his gun acted stupidly. No beer sumit for him.

but Neville said he didn't know whether any video of the shooting existed.

The lawsuits are going to fly over this one.

This guys (Erik Scott) father is so solid. Went to West Point and is very accomplished. If I'm his dad I'm going to ream out the Las Vegas police and Costco and donate the money to charity. The ones I blame most are Costco employees for telling bloody lies over the phone to the 911 operator. That had the police coming in guns ablazing

The deceased's girlfriend was right there. Should get very interesting

My take is the veteran cop was commanding him to do one thing and the two rookies commanding the opposite. One rookie was sworn in, in Dec 2009. My guess is the jittery rookie fired first. Not difficult guesses...lol

Why do you expect that he should donate the money to charity?

Thats funny.

My wife and I make constant jokes about her lost car keys that have been missing for 5 or 6 years!

a FReeper had a tag line that said " I'm not suffering from Alzheimers, I'm enjoying it" But I cant remember which FReeper!

Excellent summary Mr Rogers. Keep reading about this case. Warning: You will not like what you read. This Patriot was unnecessarily murdered under color of law IMO.

I would like to be a jurist but I am not sure there will even be any considering the venue.

Captain Neville appears not only to be a loose cannon, but an incredibly stupid loose cannon. Just google his name and you’ll see all his wacky quotes. He’s the one who said Scot was “kind of going berserk”. Another Neville quote, “Basically in a nutshell, what he was doing was removing metal water bottles out of the packages in the boxes. He threw a few on the floor, put ones ones in his cart. Very non normal behavior, I guess is the best way I can describe.” I usually defend cops, but this loser sounds like a real thug who’ll say anything to make Scott sound guilty. Somehow I have a feeling there’s gonna be a problem getting the 911 and Costco security tapes.
