South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham is sending strong signals that he may again buck his party and become the lone GOP senator on the Judiciary Committee to vote for Elena Kagan to be confirmed to the Supreme Court.
In an interview with POLITICO, Graham argued that Kagan wouldnt change the ideological balance on the court since shes poised to replace the liberal John Paul Stevens, and he made the case that some of her views may actually turn out to be appealing to conservatives.
When it comes to judicial nominations, elections have consequences, Graham said. My point of view is youre replacing Justice Stevens with someone thats of like mind who may actually be more friendly to national security issues.
Graham stressed that he hasnt made up his mind since hes still reviewing her written answers to questions he submitted after her confirmation hearings, and he said he was aware that serious concerns had been raised by some of his allies, including the powerful National Rifle Association.
But asked if he were leaning toward supporting Kagan, Graham said: Well, I thought she did very well at the confirmation hearings.

Miss Lindsey just wants to know where Elena Kagan got her 14 hour girdle. “I just need the extra support these days...”
However, in a constitutional republic the constitution has consequences.
Ding dong bell. Pussy is in the well.
explain to me again why a GOP takeover of Congress is a good thing..?
Professional courtesy of one homosexual to another.
/src on/Unexpected./src off/ Dig Graham vote yes for the “Wise Latina”. If so just run ads mentioning “Wise Latina” voted against the 2nd amendment.
POS
Gee, you don't say! First time I hear that Senator Graham is lesbian.
Freep, Freep FREEP him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
every single Freeper is obligated to at least send a email to Senator Lindsay.
Except the election where conservatives returned him to the Senate. To Lindsay, only the Presidential election has consequences.
Come on, South Carolina. Dump this fruit.

Senate Panel Approves Holder Nomination For AG
Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said he supports Holders view that the country needs to interrogate terrorism suspects based on American values.
I am confident this new attorney general will have a balanced approach and I look forward to working with him. I know hes made mistakes and so have I, Graham said.

USC to get new business building
Funds will come from leasing current building to Department of Justice
An estimated 250 Justice Department employees working in different locations near Washington, D.C., will be relocated to Columbia over an unspecified period.
Graham said U.S. taxpayers will save $42 million by having Justice Department employees working in South Carolina, which has lower costs than Washington.
It was almost too good to be true, Graham said of the plan. But it proved to be true.
Graham, a Republican, praised U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and Deputy Attorney General David Ogden, both of whom were appointed by President Obama, a Democrat.
I cant thank Eric Holder and David Ogden enough, Graham said, adding they offered their support for a leasing plan that was initiated during the administration of George W. Bush.
Yes, Candy-ass, but YOUR election should be of consequence, too, as in DO YOUR EFFING JOB AND APPLY SOME CRITICAL THINKING on this issue and act properly on it!
Tool.
as God is my witness, I'll never vote conservative again
South Carolina needs to unload this guy at the earliest opportunity. Hopefully, Palin will identify and back a worth conservative to unseat him in a primary ala Senator Bennett.
I don’t think we can or should expect DeMint to take on this task. Whatever it takes, let’s get rid of this clown.
Earth to South Carolina: Do what you know you gotta do.
Lindsey is an idiot! Its time for him to go! According to him - Obama won the election - so the Senate and Congress should give him everything and anything he wants. Doesn’t Lindsey realize that we are bearing the consequences of this election now, over the past 18 months and perhaps even our lifetime. He doesn’t need to add to the problem.
