CASE STUDY: Why the Chicago Young Republicans’ sexual assault scandal and its cover-up by . . . .
Hillbuzz ^ | 7-15-10 | Hillbuzz

Over the last few days, a wholly preventable scandal has metastasized for the GOP in Illinois that could very well cost Republicans the Governor’s mansion and “president” Obama’s former Senate seat: both were winnable races, if Republicans had learned from mistakes of the past and gotten in front of a potential problem before it was allowed to yet again reveal the GOP in Illinois to be a myopic boys’ club that protects its own while covering-up anything that could potentially upset their cucumber-and-mayonnaise soggy sandwich cocktail parties. “Romney Republicans” have gotten conservatives into an untenable position yet again.

“That’s got to be the longest run-on sentence I’ve ever encountered.”

Try reading some Charles Dickens! The run-on Master!

Ummm, am I the only person who found that blog post unintelligible and borderline insane?

After a few minutes I was thinking, IDENTIFY THE GUY ALREADY! What a waste of time . . . that's almost ten minutes I will never get back.

So .... is the problem Chicago or Romney? This article is a hatchet job on Romney by painting all Romney supporters with the same brush.

Problem: Romney and his family is known to not drink, nor womanize.

I fail to see how this behavior stems specifically from Mitt Romney vs. a few corrupt bad apples that learned politics from the thug capital of the USA.

The blog is clearly a hit piece from a Hillary smarmy follower.

Shouldn't you read through the blog for a bit before you draw such a "clear" conclusion? You don't know what you're talking about here.

Calling all cars. Turn up the stuner setting on the Nifong Radar.

Official Police Report: No sexual battery reported, BUT, plied her with alcohol, and turned her loose on the streets of Chicago. No cab fare. Perp's name is "The Prophet." Get out an APB, Set up roadblocks, watch the bus and train stations and all airports. Stop and hold all "Prophets."
Description:
Race: Republican
Sex (i.e. Gender): Male, Republican
Height: Republican
Weight: Republican.
M.O.: May offer female officers alcohol.

All Chicago PD Detectives working on the case to remain anonymous. Repeat: Anonymous. Extend same privilege to the "Prophet."

“...and no one is willing to identify the guy? Color me sceptical.”

Same here...while I figure there is scum at every level of the pond, why is everyone else named but the Prophet is not? Does this suggest that they will blow the lid off of this and name him in a national story?... They sound like little democrats in republican clothing don’t they?...

They could get sued for libel if they named the guy with nothing but rumor or inside knowledge to back up the assertions.

If this is all true, when charges are formally filed, the name will be part of the public record. At that point, they can write that “Joe Jerk has been charged with 3 counts of etc. etc.”

Hillbuzz writers have stepped on so many toes in the past couple of years that they need bodyguards. The situation for them just got worse today.

Town out of control. Round up all Republicans. If you are unsure of male suspect's party affiliation, round up all non-gay white males in the immediate area for interrogation.

Surround Country Clubs. Repeat, Surround country clubs.

Oh I read this BS. Seems she got jealous at a baseball game because the “prophet”was messing around with OTHER women. And I’m sure she has pics of the super secret Phophet lounge.

I think they’re right that it best get aired now so the dust can settle before November.

Indeed. I haven't heard of any rapes in politics in WI, but the infighting, backstabbing, and jockeying for position is prototypical Wisconsin Republican politics.

We had a guy here who really screwed up our County in 2004. They've brought him back to run campaigns in 2006, 2008, and now in 2010 because somebody thinks he's just wonderful. I think he's in charge of the whole state now.

That is why my husband and I won't have anything to do with the campaign in 2010. We'll help in other ways, but we won't work with this particular person, and neither will any of our friends. We found him lazy, incompetent, disrespectful of volunteers, actually brought in a spy, etc., etc. Now he's in charge of it all.

There is nothing you can say that is ever believed.

Yup. They've made a bold move here.

I have enjoyed following the boys at Hillbuzz for almost a year now. Have you read any of the Mineral City thread? I think it is written by the mom of one of the boys. Sample:

The Mineral City Coffee Club meets every Sunday to discuss matters pertinent to current events, politics in general, the annual Wooly Bear Festival, and whatever their families are up to (in particular, their model-train obsessed husbands and ungrateful daughters). Headquartered in Mineral City (“the Paris of Tuscarawas County”), the formerly Democrat-only Coffee Club has recently joined forces with the formerly Republican-only Mineral City Ladies Guild, in bipartisan beverage enjoyment unprecedented in central Ohio. Election 2008 made strange bedfellows and breakfast buddies indeed. Whenever the ladies decide to write in, we’ll post their musings here.
