Think Progress Caught Using Three Year Old Film, Liberal Plants to Smear Tea Party as Racist
Thursday, July 15, 2010 | Kristinn

Posted on 07/15/2010 9:11:21 AM PDT by kristinn

The leftist group Think Progress has taken down and edited a video smearing the Tea Party movement as racist after being caught using three year old footage. The group kept in footage and images of leftist provacateurs who were caught infiltrating Tea Party rallies with racist messages.

Think Progress originally released a 53 second YouTube video yesterday entitled "Tea Party Racism". That video is now blocked and was replaced this morning with an edited version that runs 50 seconds.

Taken out was two short clips of a white man yelling, "Go home wetbacks." That footage turned out to have been posted to YouTube on September 4, 2006.

Also in the video is a still image of a sign that says, "White People Are Pissed." That sign was carried by a leftist infiltrator at the April 2010 Tea Party Express rally in Boston that featured Sarah Palin.

The man in the photo below was run out of a rally by Tea Party activists for wearing Nazi patches on his clothing.

Video of the confrontation can be found here.

Think Progress selectively edited that video of the provacateur being run out of the Tea Party rally and included it in their video to paint the Tea Party as racist.

These deceptions call into question the entire video by Think Progress.

This video of racism by the NAACP has not been called into question, just ignored by the media.

Great post.

“This video of racism by the NAACP has not been called into question, just ignored by the media.”

Heck, BHO’s attendance at Rev. Wright’s racist, anti-Semitic church for twenty years has continually been ignored by the MSM.

Obama’s Pastor: God Damn America, U.S. to Blame for 9/11

Sen. Obama said, “I don’t think my church is actually particularly controversial.”

Wright:

“The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing ‘God Bless America.’ No, no, no, God damn America, that’s in the Bible for killing innocent people,” he said in a 2003 sermon. “God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme.”

“We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye,” Rev. Wright said in a sermon on Sept. 16, 2001.

“We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America’s chickens are coming home to roost,” he told his congregation.

“He has impacted the life of Barack Obama so much so that he wants to portray that feeling he got from Rev. Wright onto the country because we all need something positive,” said another member of the congregation.

"The Justice Department originally brought the case against four armed men who witnesses say derided voters with catcalls of "white devil" and "cracker" and told voters they should prepare to be "ruled by the black man." ..."

One poll watcher called police after he reportedly saw one of the men brandishing a nightstick to threaten voters.

As I walked up, they closed ranks, next to each other,” the witness told Fox News at the time. “So I walked directly in between them, went inside and found the poll watchers. They said they’d been here for about an hour. And they told us not to come outside because a black man is going to win this election no matter what.”

He said the man with a nightstick told him, “’We’re tired of white supremacy,’ and he starts tapping the nightstick in his hand. At which point I said, ‘OK, we’re not going to get in a fistfight right here,’ and I called the police.”...”

Wright’s now disappeared endorsement (located on Obama website during campaign):

Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr.
Senior Pastor, Trinity United Church of Christ, Chicago, IL
Senator Obama’s pastor

I’m concerned with healthcare; the war in Iraq; the high rates of recidivism in our criminal justice system; the poor condition of the Illinois public school system. Many of the resources that go to support programs such as for those living with HIV/AIDS are now being spent to fund the war. We have to communicate… I support Barack because of his incarnated faith – his faith made alive in the flesh. He reaches across all faith communities and even to those who have no faith at all. He is building a community where everyone has worth. That kind of faith is not easy to find in 2007 and a man like Barack is a rarity.

Of course it is illegal for the head of a church (being a 501c3 “charity”) to endorse a candidate.

Just for clarification and transparancy....”Malik Zulu Shabazz” is actually named Paris Lewis.

I seriously that he actually dug into his own pocket to part with the money necessary to have had his nmae LEGALLY changed.

Paris Lewis is a racist pansy that needs to be ignored....except by his BBF in prison.

Nice work. All of which goes to confirm the suspicions that I (and others) voiced in the previous thread. Unlike our adversaries, most of here have attended Tea Parties. We know from personal experience what kinds of people were there, and why. We also know how the Left operates, from the street level all the way to the White House.

Let them keep tryin' and lyin'...they need a straw man to get the little prince re-elected and keep their freebies flowing.

The TEA party movement is not about race...but the NAACP, et al, oh so needs it to be to accomplish their agenda.

Meanwhile, all of the public ranting of that nutcase "preacher", Jerimiah Wright, and the NBPP encouraging the killing of "crackers and their babies", is NOT seen as "racist" to these people.

All this is, is a big effort to get the TEA party to knock the "chip off their shoulder" to justify some retribution - probably from obama so he can declare some national emergency and cancel the elections.

That means one of two things...

1. We weasel-down and go into hiding, allowing the democrats to scare us into staying home on election day, or;

2. We defend ourselves with whatever necessary, knowing that we must then take things to a logical end.

Those who are trying to start trouble won't be a problem if we're prepared for it.

Personally, I don't think they will get a lot of traction out of these TEA party accusations, cause it just ain't so. And that is what is really pissing them off...it threatens one thing...their victimhood.

For some reason, many blacks don't seem to feel that they are relevant unless there is a "racist" around; something to lash out at to dispel their pent up anger for not accomplishing what others have.

It's a perpetual game of "King of the Mountain".

As much as it has been publicized that the TEA party movement is about taxes, they still call it racist. The only reason I can figure is the more taxes we pay, the more "stimulus" they get. It's like giving Spanish Fly" to a nymphomaniac.

Pajamas Media posted a story on April 15, 2010, that features some of those who now appear in the ThinkProgress smear job.

Link also here: http://pajamasmedia.com/blog/tea-party-crashers-not-quite-understanding-the-assignment/

I would not expect the State-Run Media to set the record straight, so it is incumbent on all of us to get the word out as expeditiously as possible. After all these years, I still manage to be astonished at the extent to which the Left has no shame or sense of decency.

They are NOT caught every single time. That is why they keep trying. If they get caught, they try the system and when it bends, they get by.

They are testing the system and they have found an ally in Holder.

The word "System" implies things have been done the same way twice.

I see no system here.

The media never gave a damn about the antisemitic, pro-terrorist, and pro-Communist banners, signs, and literature at many many so called “antiwar”/”peace” protests in the Bush years.

Too late to bother policing signs and getting “outraged” now.

That they have to fabricate signs means that the Pravda Media will continue to carry the DNC’s water. Pure collusion.

Yes, both Wright and Ayers' Weather Underground advocated communist "Black Liberation". Ayers, Wright, and many others around Obama still do. In fact, in one of Obama's books, Limbaugh mentioned yesterday, Obama said BLT was a great inspiration to him.

"Their founding document [the Weather Underground's] called for the establishment of a "white fighting force" to be allied with the "Black Liberation Movement" and other "anti-colonial" movements[1] to achieve "the destruction of US imperialism and the achievement of a classless world: world communism."..."-Berger, Dan (2006). Think Progress

Think Progress is a blog edited by Shakir that "provide[s] a forum that advances progressive ideas and policies."[

-SNIP-

The Center for American Progress publishes a daily email newsletter entitled The Progress Report, which is a recap and analysis of major political news in the United States, providing a progressive perspective on the day's stories. The authors are Faiz Shakir, Amanda Terkel, Satyam Khanna, Matthew Corley, Ali Frick, and Benjamin Armbruster

The Center for American Progress is a liberal[1][2][3][4] public policy research and advocacy organization. Its website states that the organization is a "research and educational institute dedicated to promoting a strong, just, and free America that ensures opportunity for all."[5] It has its headquarters in Washington D.C.[6]

Its President and Chief Executive Officer is John Podesta, who served as chief of staff to then U.S. President Bill Clinton. Located in Washington, D.C., the Center for American Progress has a campus outreach group, Campus Progress, and a sister advocacy organization, the Center for American Progress Action Fund. Citing Podesta's influence in the formation of the Obama Administration, a November 2008 article in Time stated that "not since the Heritage Foundation helped guide Ronald Reagan's transition in 1981 has a single outside group held so much sway."[7]

the socialists, the communists, the black racists ,far left loons and the homosexuals are running so afraid that they have had to keep resorting to the same tactics as last year which did not work then and will not work now.

What amazes me is how some people are still so dumb when it comes to the rat party.
There is still Dems out there which really think that the rat party does not do voter fraud, steal elections, call people names and are intolerant .

It’ is these people which will never understand anything and have to be told their bumper sticker slogans.
Hell they even tell themselves that they are more educated to make themselves fell better.

LOL
you only have ot look at a lefty crowd to see how scruffy , no class, no dress sense and rude they are.

I watched the Dem rallies before the election and I swear the women are ugly and mean looking the men look like a bunch of pansies or aging hippies.

The younger ones look like they dragged themselves out of bed.

It really is easier nowadays to tell a lefty even when out shopping, going to the Docs etc.
