Posted on 07/15/2010 9:12:04 AM PDT by Nachum
On her Bravo TV show Tuesday night, left-wing comedian Kathy Griffin referred to Sen. Scott Brown's two daughters as "prostitutes," and a CNN reporter apparently thought it hysterical. [Audio available here.]
Griffin, who was readying herself for a trip to Washington, DC to rally and drum up support for a repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," brought CNN reporters (husband and wife) Dana Bash and John King onto the show to "coach" her for handling Washington. Bash is a congressional correspondent for CNN, while King anchors the news hour "John King, USA."
When the couple showed Griffin a picture of Sen. Scott Brown and asked her to identify the figure, she responded "Scott Brown who is a senator from Massachusetts, and has two daughters that are prostitutes."
Bash erupted with laughter, while King grimaced.

Referring to Kathy Griffin as a “comedian” is an insult to entertainers who are actually funny.
To a democrat, being called a prostitute is probably a compliment.
Sounds like a pretty good read on members of the Brown family, daddy Scott certainly likes to whore it around
with the Dems.
Scott Brown isn’t a whore. Whores are paid to give it up.
No problem. CNN is only on at airports, and only the very bored bother to look at it.
Kathy Griffin is a disgusting piece of filt who seems to to do anything for attention. It is like she has never grown past 15 though she looks far older than her 50+ years of age.
I stand corrected.
John King is married to Dana Bash? Wow. She’s awfully horsey in the face. Sorry to be mean but....just sayin’.
Scott Brown like to hang out and vote with the democrats. Have him go to them for moral support. I am tapped out right now when it concerns him.
HA! My exact comment to self......
well ... since it’s now open season on people kids...
What can we say about Obama’s two?
Brown got elected because the minority of Mass voters, like me, wanted someone to represent our interest after 47 years of Ted Kennedy. Here in MA, it’s just about impossible to elect a true conservative. We did have some GOP governors like Weld, Romney, and Cellucci. Not true conservatives but they got elected. And we did get SOME things accomplished,
even if it was something like a (temporary) suspension of
Registry of Motor Vehicle fees.
Do we want half a loaf or no loaf at all?
During the election campaign, Brown said he was an independent voice who would not always vote conservative.
The Dems ran ads saying “Republican Scott Brown...will vote in lockstep with the Republican party”.
Of the two statements above, which was more honest? Brown.
The latter hasn’t happened.
But let’s just nominate a true conservative for GOP
nomination in 2012. He will run against a moonbat like
Mike Capuano. Someone who won’t make gaffes like Coakley did. Whom will the voters choose?
Yeah, we’ll feel much better when we have two moonbat
senators again, not just one. I’m not totally pleased
with Brown but I knew what he would be when I voted for him.
This is Massachusetts...
They have two racist morons for parents?
This coming from a woman whose application to be a whore has repeatedly been turned down.
“Do we want half a loaf or no loaf at all?”
When the left are trying to take power, they have a saying: Worse is better. That is, the worse the situation, the more discontented the people are, the greater the odds that they can be flim-flammed into putting the left into power.
I don’t see any signs that settling for half a loaf ever leads to a whole loaf, or even three-quarters.
Daughter of Secretariat.
Well, as much as I dislike admitting it, you are correct.
I am a former staff aide of the Mass. State Senate.
I learned a lot in that gig - but it is also the reason why I moved out of the Bay State in 1977.
Who did I get to know while on staff? Let’s see: Billy Delahunt, Ed Markey, Barney Frank, Mike Dukakis and a host of others.
Notice, please, how much good these cretins have done for Massachusetts and the nation.
Scott Brown? Better than nothing. He’s kind of like a white Ed Brooke(he was on my black list). :)
I was gonna say a distant rel of “Mr. Ed”!
How is this remotely funny? Seriously.
John King is married? I thought he was a rump ranger like Anderson Cooper. As for Kathy Griffin, she’s couldn’t get a “john” even if she gave it away.
Is Andrea Mitchell her mother?
Yes—now, I think Scott won by 5 percentage points or
something. Imagine if he campaigned as a strict conservative.
You could call a certain number in D.C. (or back in Boston) today and they would answer, “Good afternoon, Senator Coakley’s office...”
And once again I will remind those from out of state:
Gov, Lt Gov, Treasurer, Auditor, Secy of Commonwealth—all D
Senators: One R, one D
US Reps—10, all D
State legislator roll call votes, by party: D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, R, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, R, D, D, D...
You get the picture.
Election night, 1/19/10; Martha Coakley is beaming as she prepares to take the podium to give her victory speech.
The local TV station anchor is saying, “The Republican party’s candidate ran as conservative in every way,
and Coakley beat him by a 9 to 1 margin...Now let’s go to the podium to hear from our new Senator....”
Sorry for the numerous post...
I would have though, that the laugh would have been the reaction of dear old well preserved Joy Behar, not a professional like Bash. At least the gentleman had politeness to wince. Somehow he does exude class, though some may think he is in the Democrat camp.
I watched Griffin greeting the New Year with a host for the New York celebration. The host read an e-mail which told Griffin to just shut up. Even he was put off with Kathy.
That was nothing but a childish slam on a public figure. It was a complete setup and not something I’d expect from a news organization. CNN stopped being a news organization 25 years ago.
Brown ought to just go ahead and file suit against CNN and make this a public fight to show the world what morons CNN employs.
I would hope that eventually we would move to the right bit by bit and perhaps someday a true conservative will get elected. The way the Commonwealth is, I’m not sure if that will even happen. But otherwise you would just have Dems/libs winning year after year after year. You need to try to warm people up to the outrageous idea that Massachusetts need not be a one party state and that sometimes the conservative point of view needs to be represented.
The fact Brown won was amazing, esp. his “surge” just before
election day. Would a true conservative do the same? Remember,
this is Massachusetts...at least some “independent” voters
went for Brown. SOME people “got it” this time, but would it happen again?
There is no reason to immune pigs like Griffin from lawsuits just because their targets are the family members of politicians.
CNN has no credibility but if those running it had any decency Bash would be terminated.
I doubt that anyone was watching.
I would kinda like to hear Mrs Brown’s response to the Griffin.
“SOME people got it this time, but would it happen again?”
Haven’t Chairman Maobama’s excesses energized his opposition?
Remember what happens when someone brings up Sasha and Malia? These folks ahypocrates of the first order.
That’s ok. It was worth repeating.
Actually, it’s the Dad who’s the prostitute.
Don’t be insulting the daughters of Secretariat please. She could be the daughter of any nag horse but not a famous horse.
That Griffin harpy has to give it away to get some.
She wishes she could be a free enterprise purveyor of pleasure.
This clip should be a campaign commerical that runs a lot.
Most people do not like bitchy nastiness like this.
It says a lot about the intelligence and pragmatism of the conservative voters in your state.
Because of political climates back home, deals that have to be made and hardcore politics that must be played in Washington, every elected official will let you down on some issue, sometime. The people on this site who demand absolute purity, would relegate us to a permanent minority.
What a bitch. Blast away at Brown all you want, but his daughters never asked for this.
What do you expect out of an arrogant, atheistic, anti-American publicity hound like Griffin?
Good post. Thanks!
Um, both stations mentioned in the article, CNN and Bravo, are on cable....
Her genes. (Oops-- was that "racist"?)
Now THAT's funny!
