The U.S. Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday rejected a request from top White House adviser Valerie Jarrett to speak at a jobs summit hosted by the business group, the latest escalation in an ongoing war between the two camps.
We would have loved to have gone and participated. We werent invited. In fact we were told not to come, Jarrett said, during an interview on Bloomberg Television.
Chamber officials said Jarrett requested that she be allowed to address their gathering, a several-hour long Jobs for America Summit, on Wednesday morning, a few hours before the event began. They said the program was too full to fit her in.
At the summit, Chamber President and CEO Tom Donohue railed against President Obamas economic policies.

Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
That ain't the way to have fun....
I think the country has heard more than enough from this administration.
Why should you be there?
By evidence of your actions over the last year + you don't have the foggiest idea how to create a job.
Can't they get along? They both want open borders.
If the election in November isn’t an earthquake, this country is finished. And I have just about had it with Brown and the Maine twins.
Jobs for America Summit,
Racist, xenophobic, white male American
vigilantes— just leave your resumes,
we’ll call you ... promise, heh heh heh
“Earlier in the day, Jarrett and White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel sent a letter to the Chamber expressing disappointment at complaints registered publicly against the president by those in the business community.
The stakes are far too high for us to be working against one another, the letter from Jarrett and Emanuel said.”
Does the word, DISINGENUOUS, come to mind?
few hours before the event began.
Liar works better for me. Stinking traitorous villainous slimy liar.
DISINGENUOUS = CALCULATING liar
Their kill business approach might get well received by the cargo cults in the cities, but those who have to work for a living and know how business works are not impressed.
“Cargo cults”? I’m not familiar with this term, but it has a nice ring to it. What does it mean, please? (The Chamber didn’t invite me either, obviously.)
I think the country is getting tired of BO’s stand up act. Isn’t he doing it for some South Korean co tody in Michigan?
Why allow someone to speak from a group of people deliberately and actively destroying the country, who will come and lie to your face that they are doing everything to fix the economy? I don’t like liars lying to my face and then getting upset when you call them on it. That’s how liberals and socialists work.
Why does she use the Imperial “we”?????
Zuckerman added that he detects in the Obama White House hostility to the very kinds of [business] culture that have made this the great country that it is and was. I think we have to find some way of dealing with that or else we will do great damage to this country with a public policy that could ruin everything.
Ferguson added: The critical point is if your policy says youre going run a trillion-dollar deficit for the rest of time, youre riding for a fall Then it really is goodbye. A dashing Brit, Ferguson added: Can I say that, having grown up in a declining empire, I do not recommend it. Its just not a lot of fun actuallydecline.

So were the stakes lower last December when the White House chose not to invite the Chamber to their job summit?

Why would the Chamber want the reason behind the jobs problem to speak?
By November, even an earthquake may come too late. We did need to swat Obummer with a LARGE swatter when he stole our dinner roll. He now has all the legislation he needs to thwart all legal means of battling a totalitarian takeover.
“We would have loved to have gone and participated. We werent invited. In fact we were told not to come, Jarrett said”
GOOD, you commie snake-in-the-grass.
I am on the side of the Chamber.
Hussein can shove it up sideways.
The US Chamber is one of the heavyweight business lobbys in Washington - - along with the Business Round Table and the National Association of Manufacturers.
For those of you who think the NFIB is a big group, all they do is party along with the big boys and then claim that they were in on the results.
