WASHINGTON—The Senate approved a wide-ranging overhaul of the nation's financial regulations Thursday, handing President Barack Obama his second major domestic-policy victory of the year.

The legislation passed, 60-39, largely along party lines. Republicans Sens. Scott Brown of Massachusetts, Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins, both of Maine, joined Democrats in supporting the bill. Sen. Russ Feingold (D., Wisc.) was the only Democrat to vote against the measure.

I believe Russ is facing his own re-election difficulties and therefore had to make his pretend vote. Naturally if one of the super RINOS had done the right thing, Feingold would have voted FOR the bill. So these three thugs succeeded in screwing the US AND giving Feingold an out!!!

I suspected he would before his election.

His voting history in Mass. made it likely.

Another bill that no dem has read, but voted on anyway. We know nothing about what’s in it. One thing is sure - it will illegally give government more control over businesses.
Just their way of moving closer to the great communist goal of all businesses being in the hands of the government.

Is Brown becoming the Souter of the senate? How disappointing (as well as deceptive).

Yep. He was untrustworthy from the start, but many folks were too busy being impressed by his awe shucks old truck stories and we still got Crapcare shoveled down our throats regardless of the Playgirl's presence. Wonder if 'a change of party' will be somewhere in his future.

My friend asked me if I gave to Rubio and I told her I didn’t and didn’t plan on it. Sure as shit, he made that stupid comment re: illegal immigration.

Anyone paying attention to the campaign and his history should not have been deceived.

I posted on a number of threads at the time that Brown was by no stretch a conservative.

But I sent a contribution and recommended supporting him in the special election because he was by far the better choice.

In Taxsachusetts you can’t expect to get a true conservative elected in a state wide election.

I hope the voters in Maine remember it was RINO Snowe who was the only Republican who voted yes and by that vote allowed the Obamacare bill to be voted out of committee and eventually to get passed. She could have stopped it in its tracks with her vote.

Bad enough 0bamacare will control our lives and health, this monstrosity from the crooks Dodd and Frank will control our wallets. This government has gone way too far and needs to be pulled back and the House (and Senate) needs to be cleaned out in November.
