Dave Ramsey will no longer be on the Fox Business Channel. The Dave Ramsey Show which aired at 8PM is being axed. Ramseys show is being replaced by Eric Bollings new show Money Rocks. Bolling is currently the host of Happy Hour on CNBC and was one of the original traders on CNBCs Fast Money. It looks like Fox is trying to jumpstart its ratings by agreeing to part ways with the personal finance guru. Ramseys show failed to connect with viewers. He had been on Fox Business for the past 2 years.
I liked Dave’s show too. Have to catch him on the radio.
Dave Ramsey reminds me of Bruce Williams.
Yeah, I liked Bruce because he had really done small business...I think he was a florist, right? I don’t know Dave’s background...
I stopped paying any attention to him long ago.
Big mistake on Fox’s part. I loved Dave’s show and I’m sure many others did too.
You know, I’m sure Dave Ramsey is a nice and good guy, his voice just seems creepy. Like the kind of voice in an SNL parody skit of NPR.
Surely your thinking of that idiot Jim Cramer?
Ramsey's primary financial advice is to stay out of debt.
Dave Ramsey...”How many hours are you working now?..oh you only have one full time job. Get another full time job for 10 bucks an hour take that $16,000 and in 10 years your house will be paid off...simple...now get to work.”
Boring.
I like Dave as a person, but he is a one trick pony. His radio show is rather monotonous to me. Never saw his TV show.
Don’t worry Dave you can always get a job delivering pizzas.
You're absolutely right.
Thank you for catching my error and pointing it out.
Dave Ramsey is solid in my book.
It most definitely was Cramer I was picturing in my mind when I posted.
It will be a shame that Dave Ramsey's sound advice will be less available.
Who was he? Got a picture?
Yeah, reminds me of Dr Laura. Pretty soon, the problems people have get repetitive.
I got tired of listening to a bunch of dummies calling Ramsey’s show with questions about how they got in such a hole financially.
Duh!
“Stupid is as stupid does”
I feel the same way about Bob Brinker’s show which occupied both Sat. and Sunday.
At least now Sat. has Larry Kudlow who talks not only finance but also politics and its effects on our finances.
What can you say?
I guess that slot was better than he deserved.
I like Dave ok, but all the shows are the same because the advice is the same. I like Eric Bolling better.
Dave has no debt and considerable assets.
Dave only works because he desires to.
Well, that and he is a workaholic.
...and the advice is the same because everybody seems to get themselves in a hole the same way, by living beyond their means.
I got a little tired of the “creative ways to destroy your credit cards” schtick, but Ramsey’s advice is rock solid. I just think it might be too narrow to support a weekly show, so in that respect, you’re right. BTW, I’ll be debt free except the mortgage in 14 months.
Colonel, USAFR
Yep! Dave is one major reason that I am not freaking out three months after losing my job. Not at all like when I got laid off in 1993.
I liked him too — made me think and motivated us to get “debt free” which felt/feels great. We never called in to share our success but we enjoyed the stories from others who were motivated to do same. I’ve been really frustrated past few weeks with fewer and fewer airings, guess I should have seen the writing on the wall. We’ll always be grateful for the ideas/action plan, he woke us up and improved our lives...
Happy Hour was on FBN...not CNBC.
With any luck, Bolling will be bringing Rebecca Diamond and Tracy Byrnes with him. Mmmmm.
And how many times does one need to say that to those capable of and willing to listen?
He did look dorky wearing his radio headphones on TV.
We demand financial experts who are in favor of deep indebtedness for individual citizens. It makes them better tax slaves.
Dave’s advice led me out of the financial wilderness, but his show is far better suited to radio.
Dave Ramsey is just not good tv. He has much smart advice, but it is boring on television, and not all that great on radio. A prime time show on a major channel as to be an audience-getter.
Sorry, I think Ramsey is a sanctimonious harpy, and can’t stand listening to this show.
No need to apologize.
Same here, I was furloughed back in January. More than a year before, my wife started listening to and watching his shows, then got me involved with it. Now we clip coupons, and only spend money on things we really need. In 8 years, we hope to have our 30 year mortgage we took out 7 years ago paid off.
Dave Ramsey is a multi millionaire. From his real estate past and present company teaching people how to stay out of debt I doubt he will ever have to deliver pizzas. As for you, I am not so sure.
Rebecca Diamond is definitely a good looking...ditz.
I liked his book. Good basic information and easy to apply to every day life. However, I never saw the show, but I have friends who download his radio show to their ipods so they can listen at their leisure
I like Dave, but his show really was a radio show with some pictures thrown in with annoying graphics scattered around (graphics were not his).
I feel the same way about Bob Brinkers show which occupied both Sat. and Sunday.

He increasingly seems an apologist for the Obama status quo as well.
Dave has no debt and considerable assets.
Dave only works because he desires to.
Well, that and he is a workaholic.

The last condition often leads to the first two.
I know because I am more grasshopper than ant.
Dave: How much debt do you have?
Caller: About $643,487.05
Dave: How much do you owe on your cars?
Caller: About $105,754.07.
Dave: Have you considered selling your cars and getting something cheaper?
Caller: Did that already.
Dave: How much do you make?
Caller: $2,376,598.65. Doesn’t include garage sales or government consultation fees.
Dave: Uh-huh...You need to go out and get a part time job and start whittling that debt down. Start with the smallest debt and...
Caller: You mean pay off the bookies and hookers first?
Dave: Yes, start with that. And get another job.
Caller: I already work 2 hours a week. I need some free time to recuperate from carrying sweat towels to the assembly line workers.
Dave: Are you a union worker?
Caller: No, but I own one. Wait...The company just agreed to our contract.
Dave: How much?
Caller: WE’RE DEBT FREEEEE!!!!!
As many times as it takes to keep them bucked up while they fill up the hole they dug themselves into.
And that's all TV is good fer...lookin' at.
...which I suppose is why he "failed to connect" with the audience.
