Senator Scott Brown's office sends over a furious statement in response to the comic Kathy Griffin's joke on the cable network BRAVO Tuesday night -- in a segment featuring two CNN reporters -- today that a photograph of him and his daughters featured "Scott Brown – who is a senator from Massachusetts, and has two daughters that are prostitutes."

Scott choosing to pose nude in Playgirl may have been amusing to some, but his choosing to pose smiling lasciviously with his semi-nude daughters was in pretty poor taste to anyone with even a scintilla of dignity and class.

However, mocking and insulting a politicians children, even though they are no longer minors, should be condemned. Last summer, most of us were rightly incensed at dopey Dave Letterman's insults aimed at Sarah Palin's then-14-year-old daughter. Letterman apologized, albeit with only tepid sincerity, but Palin accepted the apology and let it go.
I don't care if a photo of the Brown's daughters wearing bikinis while posing with their fully-dressed, obviously proud father is considered 'offensive' to some or that Kathy Griffin was 'joking'. The remarks were offensive and Brown has every right to make a lot of noise about it.
If this incident gives the senator a hint of what the folks on the left really think of him and his family, that's something, anyway. RINO politicians need to learn that being a whishy-washy, semi-liberal gets you no respect from real liberals. In fact, in Brown's case, it gets your daughters called prostitutes by some washed-up (or never-was) 'comedienne'. Lesson learned, Scott? I hope so, but the tasteless insult couched as a 'joke' from Kathy Griffin was still wrong and totally out of bounds. I hope she apologizes - but don't hold your breath. I don’t much like how the girls are dressed, but the pic still does not deserve the kg tacky joke. just like letterman’s attack of the palin’s middle daughter...it appears the republican daughters are fair game, while the democrat daughters are off limits. class tells and the left doesn’t have any.
