Van Jones: ‘Higher Energy Costs Are Unavoidable’
newsbusters ^ | 7/15/10 | Dan Gainor

The left continues to try to renovate Van Jones' reputation. Jones, the former green jobs czar who disappeared from the White House in a late-night resignation after it was revealed he had signed a 9/11 Truther petition, is one of the headliners at the Hamptons Institute gathering of lefties this weekend.

Jones joins liberal financier George Soros and Craigslist founder Craig Newmark for "a weekend summer symposium gathering some of the greatest minds in the arts, the economy, and the media" this coming weekend. To prep for the event, Jones was interviewed by New Deal 2.0 and he responded predictably - touting massive government spending on eco-goodies and a higher cost for energy.

Renovate?

This will take more than Bob Villa And Norm from ‘This Old House’ to renovate.

Course the MSM will be forging the way with the mantra and the scripted BS.

Nice how the revolutionaries all get to spend a summer vacation in the Hamptons on George Soros’ dime.

No mention of global warming, looks like the lies have run up on the beach.

Character, it’s all that matters. With Obama you now know what is meant by no character, they just lie, about everything. Word as good as any Kenyan and who wouldn’t take that.

Higher energy costs means lower standard of living means, however poor you may think you are, you’re about to get poorer. Because prosperity is in large part a function of the relative cost of energy.

That, and its the biggest part of most manufacturing costs. Raise the cost of energy and like as not you get laid off as your company goes looking for lower manufacturing costs.

BS!!! BS!!!!!!!!!!!! and BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If government kept their paws off and let America develope the energy we need, people would be shocked and amazed at how cheap energy would be. This in turn would lower the cost of EVERY FREAKING THING YOU BUY!!!!! Sayy no to government intervention!

The left and the loons keep telling us we are controlled by the oil companies. What is jacking the cost of energy with high taxes? Control?

Cap & Trade is entirely avoidable. Politics that completely obstructs a rational energy policy is avoidable.

The 0bama-Democrat-RINO (Progressive) "No Domestic Energy Policy!"

All of that puts the U.S. in a position that war for oil or
complete economic collapse will be our only choices.
You can't frustrate every source of domestic energy
without consequences. Our enemies will blackmail us
to the extent that we are vulnerable to blackmail.

0bama, the Democrats and RINOs are leading us into a real war for oil.
A war we won't have the energy to fight.
A war we don't need to fight because we have our own resources.

There were other things that were unavoidable...But King George didn’t listen.

With the exception of Ken Auletta, the rest of these people are scum of the earth. I recognize most of these names and I know their far left politics. These are cockroaches who scatter when you cut on the lights.

Soros sure parades around like he’s loved by one and all. It’s truly astounding that nobody has yet helped him to assume room temperature.
