Levi and Bristol -- Gunnin' for Reality Deal
TMZ ^ | 7/16/2010 12:10 AM PDT | TMZ Staff

Posted on 07/16/2010 8:49:12 AM PDT by Bratch

Levi Johnston and Bristol Palin are already looking to bring outsiders into their upcoming marriage -- in the form of a reality TV crew ... this according to a source very familiar with the negotiations.

TMZ has learned the couple has been shopping "multiple reality shows" around town -- some of the ideas involve the couple AND their two-year-old son, Tripp.

We're told the leading concept involves all three people -- and will focus on "parenting issues."

It's unclear if the show would be based in Alaska ... or if Bristol's mom, Sarah Palin, would be involved in some capacity.

It looks like the couple could strike a deal in the near future -- we're told negotiations are "ongoing."

Speaking of these folks I love this photo of the baby. Does that expression look just like his grandmother or what?

Pretty much everything Bristol Palin does reflects very poorly on her mother.

She seems to be deeply committed to ruining any future her mother may have in national politics.

I cannot tell you how this nauseates me. If Bristol were actively trying to torpedo any political influence her mother might have she is going about it in the right way. I think, however, that she’s just a young, sheltered, and not-very-bright girl under the influence of a narcissistic young cannibal who is trying to get some of the money he saw a glimpse of.

That would stink for Sarah’s political career... I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a suspicious bear mauling on Levi in the near future...

This would really be a deal-killer for me. I love Sarah, but this would be an embarrassment that probably could not be overcome.

Ron Jr. and Patti Reagan weren’t supporters of Ronald Reagan.

When was the last time you heard about Amy Carter?

The media is exploiting Levi and Bristol as they did Cindy Sheehan.

Why didn’t Hollyweird draft a reality show or biopic comedy about Barack Hussein Obama’s auntie in Roxbury, MA?

Maybe because Auntie wasn't out there pitching the story to the networks like these two are?

Foolish kids. You think they would be wiser than that given what they have been through. But like moths to the flame, fools rush into the spotlight seeking fame and fortune. Without fail, the media just uses people and casts them aside like a crushed beer can.

I still don’t understand what goes through the feeble minds of emotion driven people who think their experience is going to be different.

I’m still surprised that the whole “reality show” concept still gets any traction. Yet another show follows some disfunctional group around while watching a big slow-motion train wreck. I’ve never really understood why that was interesting or why I should even care about these people.

Hollywood’s point of contact was Levi who posed for Playgirl and “dated” Kathy Griffin.

Hollywood has no interest in talking to any member of the extended Obama family or any of his fellow worshippers from church or neighbors, etc.

because it’s on tv and television is a drug.

They are cheap to produce and can air in reruns (unlike the news).

It’s all something to fill the time between the commercials.

"Andrea Mitchell had sources close to the gov that said that when she resigned, she was also retiring from politics. How’d that work out?"

TMZ was the first to break the story that Palin herself was shopping a docu-drama with Mark Burnett. They nailed that story.

Whatever you think of Harvy Levin - and I don't think much - his sources in Hollywood are EXCELLENT. I would be surprised if they're wrong on this. They aren't wrong in too much they print.

Levi spent too much time in Hollywood as well as in Alaska with Bravo’s Kathy Griffin. And Bristol has her own show, so this is no surprise. Celebrity is a drug.

'I’m still surprised that the whole “reality show” concept still gets any traction. "

Two words, "The Hills". Two more words, "Jersey Shore".

Reality shows cost the networks virtually NOTHING to produce, especially when compared to scripted dramas - there are no writers to pay, no set decorators to pay, no union construction workers to pay, no catering to pay, no high-priced director to pay. It's cheap, cheap, cheap. So, networks produce a LOT of them, hoping that one out of 20 become as successful as The Hills, or Jersey Shore.

Also, the networks not only make HUGE money off ad revenues - primarily because these shows target the demographic, 18-24, that advertiser love to reach, but they also make money off product placement, which is ubiquitous in these reality shows.

Levi’s been slumming in Hollywood since his breakup with Bristol.

Where do you gather that this is Bristol’s idea to pitch this to someone rather than Levi?
