Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee implores Congress to learn the lessons of our victory in Vietnam that we refused to declare, one that has resulted in two countries living side-by-side in peace and good fellowship.

Several years ago - I think during Clinton impeachment - I heard Maxine Waters make some comments during a committee hearing about a witness squashing a subpoena. And I thought to myself, "Did she just say 'squash' the subpeona". Sure enough, not but a few seconds later, she said it again - and again - and again.
At that moment, I thought that Maxine MUST be the dumbest person to ever serve in that esteemed body, if after 25+ years of service, she thinks subpoenas are "squashed".
Sheila Jackson Lee has dared to hope against hope, and supplant Maxine as the mayor of stupidiville.
Sheila, do you know what the difference is between The Moon and Mars? What comes after Friday? Can you count to ten without using your fingers?
I called the DC office (1-202-225-3816) of the most embarrassing turd to ever come from my beloved TEXAS, to tell her staffer (Mike) that Abraham Lincoln once said “Tis far better to remain quiet than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt”.
I further stated that as a Marine veteran (’69 - ‘71) that since Ms. Lee seems to know NOTHING about Vietnam, that she should shut the hell up and stop being an embarrassment to TEXAS.
I was surprised that he was polite and respectful, and did not hang up on me. He did say that he would pass my message along.
Any idea when she said this?
Howie, I'm a bit surprised that they actually have someone in that office who knows how to answer the phone, let alone hang up on on you, or anyone.
She said it this week. I believe either Wednesday or Thursday.

After hearing that clip this morning, I thought an enterprising person could assemble that along with:
* Hank Johnson’s concern that Guam could tip over
* Joe Biden’s comment that Franklin Roosevelt would have spoken on TV in 1929 after the stock market crash
* Maxine Waters’ call to ‘socialize’ the oil industry
* President Zero’s ‘57 states’ , etc.
With the tongue-in-cheek message: “Keep electing Democrats to office. After all, even stupid people need a job.”
She is talking about the North and the South since the Civil War.

Neither - she is speaking in what the Democrats call "today". The fact that their "today" is 50+ years behind OUR "today" is immaterial to them. That's where they live!!

No she's not. Have you ever seen her re-election numbers? It's from the people that vote a straight democratic ticket instead of going down and selecting each person individually.
They re-drew her district so bizarrely that she absolutely has the ghetto people in there that don't know any better and don't want to know any better.
Those of us who live in her district actively campaign against her, but we get NO freaking help.
The guy Faulk, running against her this year...nothing in the mail, nothing on TV, no door to door. If I didn't drive down Watunga in the morning I would have no idea that anyone was running against her. That is the only place I have seen a sign for him. Granted it's large, but that is the only thing.

How many are informed enough to know the futility of their vote? The system has become so corrupted that it will take more than votes to clean it up. Votes simply validate the perpetuation.

Don't pretend to speak for her constituents. I live there, and I don't know ANY who think she's "the best representative for her district." She's there because her district is racially gerrymandered, and we haven't come up with a well-enough funded alternative.
She's absolutely correct on this point. It WAS a victory for her side, the Communists/Democrats.

We woke up one fine morning to discover, to our shock and dismay, that our neighborhood had been moved into the 25th Congressional District and that this blithering idiot was now our “Rep” in congress.
It took us a little time, but we eventually sold our home and moved into a very SOLID are that is part of the 22nd District.
It was either that or I was going to have to do something drastic.
There should be a test before these people are allowed to run for office.
People should not be at the mercy of morons.
