Former US official sentenced to life in prison for espionage

Washington - A former US State Department official has been sentenced to life in prison for spying, while his wife was ordered to spend nearly seven years behind bars for helping to pass highly classified information to Cuba, the Justice Department said Friday.

Walter Kendall Myers, 73, and wife Gwendolyn, 71, pleaded guilty in November to espionage charges and acting as agents for the Cuban government. Myers had also admitted to passing top secret information in a conversation with an undercover FBI agent, the Justice Department said.

Note the arrest didn't occur until a day AFTER the Organization of American states voted to lift the suspension of Cuba as a member of the group. The Obama admin had been pretending in the press and court of public opinion to oppose the lifting of Cuba's suspension on the grounds the US wanted to see more democratic reforms in Cuba, but of course, the admin "just happened" to switch to supporting the lifting of the suspension once behind closed doors since when it really comes down to it, the Obama admin doesn't give a CRAP about democratic reforms in Cua any more than they care about constitutional rights here in the USA.

Looks like the Obama admin wanted the arrest to go quietly under the radar [announced after 3 PM on a Friday- ] so as to not disrupt their move to support Cuba in the OAS.

IIRC, one of the big promoters of opening relations with Cuba is Abourezk of S Dakota even though he's no longer in office. S Dakota agribiz wants the opening badly.

Communists have been inside the US Government since the Rosenbergs betrayed America and gave the Soviet Union the A Bomb. Today the Democratic Party is controlled by Communists.

I don’t care what they call themselves or what others call them. They are determined to destroy the United States of America. This administration represents the the closest they have come to achieving that goal.

All of the chips are on the table now. November elections will tell the story. I believe that this could never have happened without the complicity of some Republican career politicians. I have in mind people like John McCain, Lindsey Graham, John kyle and others who helped George W. Bush in his attempt to force amnesty for millions of illegal aliens on the American people. The Tea Party movement represents the biggest threat to the Communist/Marxist/Progressive traitors who have brought us to where we are.

Obama and the rest of that scum are doing everything that they can to destroy that movement. I pray for our country. And I work daily to defeat local Democratic Party politicians.
