Disgraced Hollywood actor Mel Gibson is planning a move to Australia with his soon-to-be ex-wife, the Daily Telegraph reported Sunday.
Gibson, who is facing allegations that he beat his former girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, during a dispute last January, has reportedly sold one of his homes in the U.S.
The actor sold his New York estate, Old Mill Farm, for $28 million, according to the newspaper. He also reportedly put his Malibu, Calif., home on the market for $17 million.
The newspaper also reported that Gibson plans to relocate to Australia with his estranged wife, Robyn, who defended the actor in a written statement last week, in which she said "Mel never engaged in any physical abuse of any kind toward me before, during or after our marriage." The two were married for 28 years.
Lawyers for Gibson, 54, and his former girlfriend squared off in court on Thursday in a bitter custody dispute over their baby daughter after a week of damaging, ranting phone calls leaked to an online web site.

Hard to take reports as accurate when they said he sold his NY estate, Old Mill Farms when in fact the estate is located in Greenwich, CT.

He seemed to go off the rails not long after that. That movie is responsible to several people I know to become very deeply faithful.

My gut tells me there is something very wrong about this whole thing. I have had the greatest respect for Mel Gibson. Unless there is something mentally wrong with him, I can’t see the drastic change he is supposed to be going through. It just doesn’t make any sense. But....I’m not there and I haven’t seen him. So...who’s to say? I wish the best for him.

Divorce with children is like death, except you have to keep looking at the corpse every week when the children ‘change hands’ to spend the weekend with Dad (or Mom)…

Can’t say I blame him. I’d love to go to Australia...from the things I’ve learned from fellow FREEPers, it is nice, even though their new PM is an atheist.
Those audio tapes really really smelled like a setup—and sounded like they were edited.
All because the guy dared to make a positive movie about Jesus.
But perhaps in the end the Gibsons will be reconciled. That would be nice to see. At any rate, I predict this episode will have served to cure Mel from some of his addiction-demons.

I’m so glad you posted this angle. I told my mother about 2 weeks ago that he has been in a battle for Jesus since he made that movie. Do any of you remember how powerful that movie was for the country??? People waited in lines, saw it multiple times and most importantly talked about it non-stop for months. Satan has most definitely put a target on his back.
