Just read that scientists have concluded that the seep is natural, according to a BP email. They have discovered Methane however leaking from the base. And of course we have this new top situation.
More news however, other seeps close to wellhead they are looking at. At least 2 close ones unknown. One distant one ruled natural.
Admiral Thad gave the go ahead for another 24 hours. He said the bubbles didn’t seem significant, and the leaks in the add-on BOP were being followed, but represented no problem at the moment. As you mentioned, he also said the “seep” wasn’t related. BP, I think, declined to brief today. Maybe they’re just fed-up with reporters inventing differences that aren’t there and they’ve decided to just give them one source for awhile.
The first reported seep was 1.8 miles away. Odds are at that distance it was natural. These seeps that are closer to the well head are probably related just based on proximity, but that may not necessarily mean real bad news. Just that some oil product is sneaking up through some of the thousands of slow pathways down there. And when I turned on the news radio station to see what the conventional MSM wisdom was, seems that conspiracies really are ruling the air waves now. Good thing I do not have cable, sat or broadcast tv. Just radio news for half an hour or however long I can stand it.
