FreeDominion operated off shore because of repressive speech in Canada.
We are screwed.
Where off shore could we go?
do you think having an offshore site would help? A black-ops team can operate anywhere in the world and take out a soft target like that in no time flat. hell, obama is targeting and taking out US citizens with drones anywhere he pleases. But even that would not be necessary. A bribe here or there to the right official and the plug gets pulled anywhere in the world.
I guess I would try to get to Michele Malkins site and those other conservatives sites, biggoverment, etc and try to keep up with what was going on.
I’m sure the ACLU will be diving into this 1st Amendment issue real soon. . . . /sarc/
I see no evidence here that any nefarious gvt entity ordered the shutdown.
Instead, I suspect they both just went bankrupt and closed. And now some clown will try to make a conspiracy theory out of it.
Feels like Dune
Blogetery was apparently affiliated with (subsidiary of?) Wordpress. The main Wordpress domain and the blogs there are fine.

If FR goes, all conservative sites will be blocked or destroyed.
If this happens all conservative radio will be stopped. There will be arrests. There will be deaths.
They are off shore now.
The next time, host your blof offshore. Having to go to this extreme in order to exercise free speech is a very sad point in the history of our nation. We are now living in the land of the used-to-be-free.
Boomarked
Do you mean “went bankrupt” as in “filed bankruptcy”? That should be easy to determine. Or, do you mean just ran out of money and walked away?
From the article:
In each case, those with knowledge of who ordered the closures or the reasons why said they are legally required not to disclose that information.Instead, I suspect they both just went bankrupt and closed....
"I can not disclose which agency or why they [ordered the action].
...
Another person identifying himself as an administrator and using the handle Catfriedrice told a former user: "Can't tell you anything about it. Sorry, I'm bound to this secret by law."
And your suspicion is based on what? There's nothing in this article indicating that any financial difficulties were involved. Do you have more information on these companies than is contained in the article? If so, please provide a link to it.
And now some clown will try to make a conspiracy theory out of it.
As opposed to your speculation that it was financial problems?
The left’s fears is now our reality.
I don’t know, really.
It just seems to me the article basically quotes people as saing “I can’t say”, and they try to spin that into a consipracy.
Funny story about that. I was in high school and was reading Dune for the second time in study hall one day, when a liberal english teacher walked up to me and said, "Dune, good book, it's about ecology." To which I replied, "Saying Dune is about ecology is like saying Moby Dick is about fishing." I felt like rending him for his water ;)
Say this 3 times fast in a scottish accent:
Whale. Oil. Beef. Hooked.
