It was the moment of greatest peril for then-Sen. Barack Obama’s political career. In the heat of the presidential campaign, videos surfaced of Obama’s pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, angrily denouncing whites, the U.S. government and America itself. Obama had once bragged of his closeness to Wright. Now the black nationalist preacher’s rhetoric was threatening to torpedo Obama’s campaign.
The crisis reached a howling pitch in mid-April, 2008, at an ABC News debate moderated by Charlie Gibson and George Stephanopoulos. Gibson asked Obama why it had taken him so long – nearly a year since Wright’s remarks became public – to dissociate himself from them. Stephanopoulos asked, “Do you think Reverend Wright loves America as much as you do?”
Watching this all at home were members of Journolist, a listserv comprised of several hundred liberal journalists, as well as like-minded professors and activists. The tough questioning from the ABC anchors left many of them outraged. “George [Stephanopoulos],” fumed Richard Kim of the Nation, is “being a disgusting little rat snake.”
Others went further. According to records obtained by The Daily Caller, at several points during the 2008 presidential campaign a group of liberal journalists took radical steps to protect their favored candidate. Employees of news organizations including Time, Politico, the Huffington Post, the Baltimore Sun, the Guardian, Salon and the New Republic participated in outpourings of anger over how Obama had been treated in the media, and in some cases plotted to fix the damage.

Well, he just sent out this cryptic tweet:
Whereby I formally rescind my $100k Journolist reward & wish Spencer Ackerman the very best in whatever profession he now chooses to enter.
This Journolist thing is intriguing.

...friends at Media Matters... What a joke. I took a shower already to get the scum off after a trip to DU about the NAACP dinner video but may need another if I head to MM. What astounds me about MM, other than their lack of information as to the content justifying their headlines, is the lack of comments posted. Do they really think that their regular 11 commentmakers have any valid opinions or thoughts? Are their only posters Keith, Rachael, Mika, Andrea, Dylan, Chris, Chris again, Joe, Tamra, Ezra and Ed?

I've always known in my heart that this is the way that the MFM operates, but still...to see it documented in print is breathtaking. If we had a truly free press, this should be a top story. Above nearly all ills that bedevil this country, the Media/Government Complex is probably the largest contributor to the socialist rot which has set in. I have trouble even finding words to describe it; the rot and corruption is so bad.
We’ve got to find out where the new JournoList is and have to infiltrate it and expose it. At the very least, I hope some money grubbing media whore will sell out his brothers for Breitbart’s $100K so we can see the old list in its full glory.

When I first used dial-up back in the early 90’s I told my husband that if this kind of technology had been available back in the day, the Jews would never have ridden the trains to their deaths. I swore that if the entire world had known of the atrocities that could be done by such evil people the Holocost would never have occurred. He and everyone I spoke to about this agreed. But, here we are now, more information, more resources, more exchange of ideas, and a more perverse and wicked group of people voted in by a majority of total idiots.

He was, not only the first to expose this story...but the only one who kept it alive until the rest of them caught up...even Rush.
When Climategate broke, the only thing that the MSM found worthy of reporting was the theory that someone hacked the University of East Anglia servers to steal the emails. So it was just a sad little story about an evil hacker trying to harm the wonderful climate scientists. The inflammatory content of the emails was ignored altogether.
I bet the MSM will now pull something similar. Probably no reporting until next Saturday, then "Republican Operative Tucker Carlson's Email Theft Threatens Freedom of the Press."

I am beginning to believe that myself
I understand your scepticism, and I share it. November 2, 2010 is our LAST CHANCE to restore our Liberty without firing a shot. IF this election DOESN’T turn things around, I fear it won’t take long for those fat Americans to become lean and take up arms. I hope and pray the election does the trick.
Biblical principles, morals, ethics, sacrifice, individual freedom, first amendment rights, and more are the basis for the lives we enjoy(or enjoyed) before they began taking all of those things away saying they are bad for us.
A Christian nation formed to escape the Church of England, which also happened to be the gov’t. Now which one of the liberals who are telling us how bad all these things are that are the basis of our foundation can point to one Muslim nation where people, liberal or conservative, have the same freedoms we do?
Why do they stay here if it is so oppressive? We all know, but I wonder if they really do know or want to acknowledge it.
Which one of the liberals, in a political position or in media, are going to self-sacrificially stand up and say the truth. Not! Self-sacrifice is for another class of human, not the elites of our nation. All for one, and all for me.
If he has a couple years worth of the contents of that listserv, he has material that will be incredibly damaging to the mainstream media. And based on that, I’m thinking he does.
