loose network of Mexican-American women, some of whom may be illegal immigrants, have been responsible for helping numerous Afghan military deserters go AWOL from an Air Force Base in Texas, FoxNews.com has learned.
Many of the Afghans, with the women's assistance, have made their way to Canada; the whereabouts of others remain unknown. Some of the men have been schooled by the women in how to move around the U.S. without any documentation.
The Afghan deserters refer to the women as "BMWs" — Big Mexican Women — and they often are the first step in the Afghans' journey from Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, to Canada, a diplomatic official told FoxNews.com. He requested anonymity because he is not authorized to speak publicly during an ongoing investigation by U.S. and international authorities into who helped the Afghans leave the Defense Language Institute’s English Language Center at Lackland.

Let me get this straight— Afghanis refer to these women as “BMW’s”? How does that work? Non-native speakers of English really don’t create their own acronyms. That means that someone else who is a native English speaker is involved.
Some of these Afghans want to escape the hell that is Afghanistan but one wonders how many are Taliban Plants,strategically placed in sleeper cells throughout the USA??
We are at war yet the government treats this situation as a immigration issue.

EXACTLY. and in that these Afghans are like mexicans, who wants to go back there
so they learn how to exist here, in sanctuary cities and / or Canada.
Doesn't say if Aryan was apprehended by American or Canadian authorities, but there certainly was very little concern with enforcing the law and returning him to Afghanistan.
A weird story, with little about the motives of these women being provided. It almost seems some of them do it just to help somebody live illegally in the US or Canada, and for no other reason. Money doesn't seem to be part of it, and only some of them had actual relationships with those they helped enter US or Canadian society illegally.
