When There is No Rule of Law
Campaign for Liberty ^ | 7/20/10 | Ron Paul

Posted on 07/21/2010 8:04:35 AM PDT by Bokababe

...Regime uncertainty is the opposite of the rule of law. It is the rule of the whims of the people in charge and what mood they are in on any particular day. It is usually associated with third world dictatorships and plays a major role in why some countries remain poor. When a business cannot predict whether a government will issue a permit, confiscate or nationalize their capital investments, tax them into bankruptcy, or arbitrarily stall their operations, they tend to do business elsewhere. This type of government hostility is not conducive to wealth creation and it is tragic to see it chasing away businesses here when we need the jobs and productivity more than ever...

The Republic crossed that line on November 8, 2008. We all must decide where that line in the sand might be for us as individuals. When those who are supposed to uphold the law are corrupt, when impartial justice and the restraints of the Constitution no longer inform our courts, then the only justice that can be had is the justice that you make for yourself.

Don't like Ron Paul? Seems he one of the only ones saying what needs to be said. There is no "politic" here, there is saying what needs to be said.

Ronald Reagan was the "Great Communicator" because he spoke through the bigotry of the Media. Clear and simple.

This is what’s so frustrating about Ron Paul. On one hand, he knocks this one of out the park. Other the other, he sides with obama re forcing the military to submit to the radical homosexual agenda and re cutting the military to the bone ($1,000,000,000,000 worth - see nearby freeper thread).

When he’s right, he’s usually VERY right. When he’s wrong, he’s usually VERY wrong. And these seem to occur in about equal measure...

Thanks for the ping!

When Dr. Paul is right, he's very right.

Kosovo is a good example of what a lawless society looks like.
