SNIPPET: "WASHINGTON A US man has been charged after he compiled a hit list of 15 people he believed had harmed Muslim civilians and deserved to die, court documents showed Wednesday.
Paul Rockwood and his wife Nadia were charged with lying to federal investigators about the compilation and content of the list, which Nadia Rockwood delivered to an unnamed individual in April at her husband's request."
SNIPPET: "According to plea agreement documents obtained by AFP Wednesday, Paul Rockwood converted to Islam around late 2001 and soon "became a strict adherent to the violent jihad-promoting ideology of cleric Anwar al-Awlaki."
SNIPPET: "Rockwood began researching explosive devices, and by late 2009 was discussing "committing acts of domestic terrorism, including... the use of mail bombs and the possibility of killing targets by gunshot to the head."
By early 2010, Rockwood "formalized" a list of some 15 specific targets, which may have included US soldiers. The list has not been released.
Nadia Rockwood was aware of her husband's radicalization, the documents said.
Both husband and wife subsequently lied to investigators about the content of the list, which was obtained by the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Joint Terrorism Task Force."

These people are this country’s enemies. And Americans should never forget that fact. They are the equivalent of spies and saboteurs.
Hmmm. Wonder if my name is on the list.
Sheesh. The guy is an average white guy weather technician who works for the US government in a place called King Salmon, Alaska. And then he becomes a Muslim (why?), along with his probably Russian-descended British wife and they turn into homicidal maniacs. Gads, you’ve got to hand it to Mohammed...he’s been an evil death machine for 1400 years.
I keep trying to get on their lists.....who made it?

Treasury Designates Anwar Al-Aulaqi,
Key Leader of Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula
Treasury Targets al-Qa’ida Leader with Ties to Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab
WASHINGTON The U.S. Department of the Treasury today designated Anwar al-Aulaqi, a key leader for al-Qa’ida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), a Yemen-based terrorist group. Aulaqi was designated pursuant to Executive Order 13224 for supporting acts of terrorism and for acting for or on behalf of AQAP. Since its inception in January 2009, AQAP has claimed responsibility for numerous terrorist attacks against Saudi, Korean, Yemeni and U.S. targets. Executive Order 13224 freezes any assets Aulaqi has under U.S. jurisdiction and prohibits U.S. persons from engaging in any transactions with him.
“Anwar al-Aulaqi has proven that he is extraordinarily dangerous, committed to carrying out deadly attacks on Americans and others worldwide,” said Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Stuart Levey. “He has involved himself in every aspect of the supply chain of terrorism — fundraising for terrorist groups, recruiting and training operatives, and planning and ordering attacks on innocents.”
Aulaqi has pledged an oath of loyalty to AQAP emir, Nasir al-Wahishi, and plays a major role in setting the strategic direction for AQAP. Aulaqi has also recruited individuals to join AQAP, facilitated training at camps in Yemen in support of acts of terrorism, and helped focus AQAP’s attention on planning attacks on U.S. interests.
Since late 2009, Aulaqi has taken on an increasingly operational role in the group, including preparing Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, who attempted to detonate an explosive device aboard a Northwest Airlines flight from Amsterdam to Detroit on Christmas Day 2009, for his operation. In November 2009, while in Yemen, Abdulmutallab swore allegiance to the emir of AQAP and shortly thereafter received instructions from Aulaqi to detonate an explosive device aboard a U.S. airplane over U.S. airspace. After receiving this direction from Aulaqi, Abdulmutallab obtained the explosive device he used in the attempted Christmas Day attack.
Aulaqi was imprisoned in Yemen in 2006 on charges of kidnapping for ransom and being involved in an al-Qa’ida plot to kidnap a U.S. official but was released from jail in December 2007 and subsequently went into hiding in Yemen.
“Aulaqi has sought to encourage his supporters to provide money for terrorist causes. Those who provide material support to Aulaqi or AQAP violate sanctions and expose themselves to serious consequences,” continued Levey.
Today’s action supports the international effort to degrade AQAP’s capabilities to execute violent attacks and to disrupt, dismantle, and defeat its financial and support networks. The U.S. Government will continue to work with allies to identify and take action against persons acting for or on behalf of, or providing financial and other prohibited support to, Aulaqi and AQAP.

Apparently you would know if your name was on the list.
According to one of the articles I read; the individuals named were contacted.
Anyway, the global jihad is just that global —24/7 and that’s probably the more important thing to understand.
Smiling at you... don’t try.
They list whatever irritates them that day...kind of like toddlers with diaper rash.
Mohammed has provided more warped, psychopathic minds a readymade identity and stance against an “unjust world”, as anyone since the early Communists, up to and through Joe Stalin.
That’s true. And at least the people who had to live under Stalin, those who survived, at least, have grown out of Communism and rejected it. There’s no chance with Islam. It kills individuals and societies.

Oh, believe me, I know. My kid's been on 3 Iraq tours, and been through 4 IED/EFP's and is slated to go to Afganistan. I've studied our enemy well.
Islam is a death cult.
God bless your family and thank your son for his service.
They always appreciate those words!
Yes, our troops are the best — always.
And then he becomes a ..... (why?), along ..... wife and they turn into homicidal maniacs.
Isn't that the beginning of so many horror movies of the Zombie, variant germ strain, devil/alien possession, type.
And when you think about it, isn't Islam like those sci-fi movies where the future is seen as being rigidity authoritarian where everyone has to think alike and dress in a prescribed manner and perform similar rituals.
Sarah Palin gives him a woodies.

He was an ex-Navy weather guy and was hired by National Weather service about 5 years ago.
He always had his Koran at his desk and he was learning Arabic via Roseta Stone while at work. He aid he was going to move to Egypt to live. He hated Bush and was a 9/11 truther. He was also a big BIG fan of Ron Paul
Politically he was all over the place. He was a libertarian and very opinionated.
I tended to stay upstairs in my office when he was working. With the other forecasters I stayed downstairs and visited but for some reason I didnt like being around him
He was a nice enough guy but his anti-Bush BS tended to turn me off. Had I known this guy was a terrorist wannabe I would have went to work armed (which probably would have eventually gotten me fired or jailed)
He medically retired in April and I attempted to get his job but it didnt work that way. Now I wonder if he really had a medical problem or if he just had to get out of Dodge
Thanks hattend for your post.
Islam IS a mental disorder.
And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.

SNIPPET: “Having been radicalized by Awlaki, and believing it was his responsibility to kill on behalf of the “ummah,” Rockwood spent months compiling a list of targets who they believed had desecrated Islam. The list included a publishing company executive, a media personality, seven members of the military, seven unidentified individuals, two religious organizations, and two publishing companies.
Prosecutors believe it was more than just talk. Explaining the severity of the plot, court records show that:
“plans were well beyond the internet researching stage and had been in place for more than four years. While in Alaska, Rockwood researched and discussed methods of execution, often at great length and in significant detail, components for mail bombs were purchased, the targets had been selected and a loose operational time line was established.”
Having pled guilty, the couple faces sentencing next week. Paul Rockwood is expected to be imprisoned for eight years while his wife will receive probation.”

Alaska Man Sentenced to Eight Years in Prison for Making False Statements in Domestic Terrorism Investigation
Spouse Pleads Guilty, Sentenced for Making False Statements
ANCHORAGE, AKUnited States Attorney Attorney Karen L. Loeffler and FBI Special Agent in Charge Kevin Fryslie announced that Paul Gene Rockwood, Jr., a former King Salmon, Alaska resident, was sentenced today to eight years’ imprisonment in United States District Court for making false statements to the FBI in a domestic terrorism investigation. Rockwoods spouse, Nadia Piroska Maria Rockwood, was also sentenced today for making false statements to the FBI in connection with the investigation of her husband.
Chief United States District Court Judge Ralph R. Beistline imposed the eight-year sentence, pursuant to a plea agreement, entered into by the parties on July 21, 2010.
Also today, Nadia Piroska Maria Rockwood, 36, the spouse of Paul Rockwood, was sentenced for her felony conviction for willfully making false statements to the FBI. Under the terms of her plea agreement, Nadia Rockwood agreed to a sentence of five years of probation which was imposed by the court at sentencing.
According to the plea agreements and other documents filed with the court, Paul Rockwood converted to Islam in late 2001, or early 2002, while living in Virginia, and later became a strict adherent to the violent jihad-promoting ideology of cleric Anwar Al-Awlaki. Paul Rockwood held a personal conviction that it was his religious responsibility to exact revenge by death on anyone who desecrated Islam and, while residing in Virginia, he began researching possible targets for execution.
According to the filed documents, after he moved to King Salmon in 2006, Paul Rockwood continued his adherence to Al-Awlakis ideology and began researching the method and means to exact revenge on his intended targets, which included U.S. service members. Among other topics, he researched explosives and remote triggering devices. In 2009, he began sharing his ideas about committing acts of domestic terrorism with others, including the possibility of using mail bombs or killing targets by gunshot to the head. By early 2010, he formalized his list to include 15 specific targets, all outside the state of Alaska.
In April 2010, Paul Rockwood gave his written target list to his wife, Nadia, who, knowing of its purpose, carried the list with her on a trip to Anchorage. The FBIs Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) subsequently obtained the target list. On May 19, 2010, JTTF agents questioned Paul Rockwood and provided him a copy of the target list. In response to agents questions, Rockwood made false statements, denying he had created such a list, denying the purpose of the list and denying ever having such a list.
JTTF agents also questioned Nadia Rockwood on May 19, 2010, about transporting the target list authored by her husband to another person. In response, Nadia Rockwood made false statements, including deceptively claiming that she had delivered a book or a common letter to another person, among other deceptive explanations.
This investigation was conducted by the FBIs Joint Terrorism Task Force in Anchorage. The prosecution was handled by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Steven E. Skrocki and Bryan D. Schroder, of the U.S. Attorneys Office for the District of Alaska, and Trial Attorney Paul Ahern, of the Counterterrorism Section in the Justice Departments National Security Division.
yep, ths is the one!
Update: Al Aulaqi has been killed.

North to Alaska
Part 3: A Domestic Terrorist With a Deadly Plan
By the time he moved to Alaska in 2006, Paul Rockwood, Jr. was an ardent follower of the American-born radical cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, who he met at a Virginia mosque in late 2001.
Shortly after he settled with his family in the small fishing village of King Salmon to work for the National Weather Service, our agents in Anchorage were aware that Rockwood had begun compiling a list of targets in the U.S. military he might assassinate in the name of jihad.
If you were wearing a U.S. military uniform, said Special Agent Doug Klein, who worked the case from Anchorage, as far as Rockwood was concerned, you were a target.
A military veteran himself, Rockwood believed it was his religious duty to kill those who desecrated Islam. In 2009, he began sharing his deadly plans with an individual he thought held similar views. But that person was actually an undercover operative employed by our Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) in Anchorage.
For a time, JTTF personnel wondered how determined Rockwood was about his plans. But one day when he was with our undercover in Anchorage he identified the building of a cleared defense contractor and said, This is the kind of building I want to blow up, Klein said. Thats when we knew he was a serious threat.
Keeping track of Rockwood was difficult, however, because King Salmon is some 300 miles from Anchorage and only accessible by airplane. And with only a few hundred residents, outsiders would be immediately spotted, so attempts at surveillance were impractical. We couldnt use 90 percent of the traditional investigative techniques we use in the Lower 48, Klein explained.
In addition, small, regional airlines in Alaska are not regulated by the Transportation Security Administration, so anyone can fly with weapons. On Rockwoods frequent trips from King Salmon to Anchorage, Klein said, he could have had a gun or a bomb and we never would have known.
During those Anchorage visits, Rockwood met the undercover operative and discussed buying electronics and downloading schematics of cell phones to make bomb detonators. At one meeting, he said he was getting ready to relocate to the mainland and had plans to steal a cache of explosives in Bostonwhere he grew upthat would help him go operational.
By early 2010, Rockwood had formalized his hit list to include 15 specific targetsall outside Alaskaand he gave the list to his wife, Nadia, who was aware of his intentions.
Even with no overt acts of terrorism to charge him with, it was decided that for the sake of public safety, Rockwood and his wife could not be allowed to leave Alaska. In May 2010, JTTF agents questioned Rockwood and his wife as they attempted to fly out of Anchorage. Both denied any involvement with a hit list or terrorist plot.
The couple was charged with making false statements to the FBI in a domestic terrorism investigation, and in July, Rockwood was found guilty and sentenced to eight years in prisonthe maximum sentence under the law. His wife was also found guilty and received five years of probation.
We can never be sure if he would have acted, Klein said, but Rockwood was clearly a threat, not only to the individuals on his list but to the entire community.
