Journolisters debate, endorse government control of Fox News
hotair.com ^ | 7-21-10 | Ed Morrissey

Tucker Carlson has another Journolist exclusive today for the Daily Caller, and this one rates high on the irony meter. Jonathan Strong starts off his report with the assessments of the Tea Party as fascists, if not flat-out Nazis, by Journolist members such as Bloomberg News’ Ryan Donmoyer, who clearly needs a refresher course on early 20th-century history with his insipid confusion of normal political rallies to the Beer Hall Putsch and the SA. We’ll get back to that in a moment, because the real meat comes on page 2, where reporters from Time Magazine and the British newspaper Guardian endorse a “tough legal framework” designed to silence Fox News:

The very existence of Fox News, meanwhile, sends Journolisters into paroxysms of rage. When Howell Raines charged that the network had a conservative bias, the members of Journolist discussed whether the federal government should shut the channel down.

“I am genuinely scared” of Fox, wrote Guardian columnist Daniel Davies, because it “shows you that a genuinely shameless and unethical media organisation *cannot* be controlled by any form of peer pressure or self-regulation, and nor can it be successfully cold-shouldered or ostracised. In order to have even a semblance of control, you need a tough legal framework.” Davies, a Brit, frequently argued the United States needed stricter libel laws.

“I agree,” said Michael Scherer of Time Magazine. Roger “Ailes understands that his job is to build a tribal identity, not a news organization. You can’t hurt Fox by saying it gets it wrong, if Ailes just uses the criticism to deepen the tribal identity.”

It’s no wonder why the participants wanted this list shut down — they’re a bunch of jerks and they didn’t want this to come to the light of day. Ironically, the process of bringing it to light is actually pure journalism.

Question:
If Saudi Arabia owns an influential portion of Fox News, and it is so fat right of the rest, that they want to close it down, then Who owns the influence of the remaining media news outlets?

The Progressive Movement is just livid that they don’t own the press anymore. Their hundred years in the closet is coming to an end.

When you have no argument — you call your opponent names (especially Nazi, Racist).

When you have no chanc of winning the debate — you call for the abolition of your opponent.

Indeed, Liberals, Democrats, the MSM are the fascists.

I predict that there will be hot war in the future.

I would argue it’s our 1st Amendment right. Journalism is secondhand information at best.

These PinkoListers are depraved scum.

I hope they achieve something like this.

Then, Americans MIGHT wake the hell up and realize who it is we’re dealing with.

If the left is smart, however, they will back off for ten years, or so, and let what they have achieved thus far, which is an amazing amount, continue to rot our culture, system, and liberty.

They could finish us off in 10-20 years, if they find some patience.

Today, Americans are frickin’ clueless sheep, and wormy power mongers—they will offer no real resistance, let alone undo the damage that has been done.

Americans are no threat to the hard left, at this point—no threat whatsoever, unfortunately.

The rage Fox News inspires in liberal journalists doesn’t
translate into any grounds for confidence in Fox News
reporting generally, even granting the assumption that
the bulk of it is substantially accurate. The stellar
example to the contrary being the March 2010 dismissal and
smearing of Geert Wilders.

Listen to these Marxists:

Guardian columnist Daniel Davies, because it “shows you that a genuinely shameless and unethical media organisation [like the Journolist] *cannot* be controlled by any form of peer pressure or self-regulation, and nor can it be successfully cold-shouldered or ostracised. In order to have even a semblance of control, you need a tough legal framework.” Davies, a Brit, frequently argued the United States needed stricter libel laws.

They are no longer the MSM. To me they are the Fascist Media (FM) now. It is clearly obvious to anyone with eyes that this communist media is one hundred percent fascist.

They can’t believe the monster they would set loose to devour their rival won’t turn back on them someday. Communism as we know it from history is beset with purges which would be comical if they weren’t deadly.

Journolist is a bunch of elitist wannabe’s who are trying to destroy the right wing in order to please their masters, the ruling elite.

Not just the Journolist but all journalists do what their bosses want them to do. The hired journalist help have no more ability to express their own personal opinions than the McDonald's clerk can decide whether to serve Big Macs or filet mignon.
